"....the visually stunning rainbow colored “Cabarrus Quilt” (10' x 38'). Maco Crafts was contracted to create the Cabarrus Quilt for the “North Carolina Collection” of the Philip Morris Corporation in 1982. The collection, which brought together works of traditional arts and crafts from the state, was exhibited at the company's plant in Concord, N.C., in Cabarrus County. The company chose to return the quilt to its place of creation after the plant was decommissioned in 2009, and it was subsequently donated to Folk Heritage Association of Macon County ."
