sundogmom: @butterflieslovewildflowers On both monarchs and queen butterflies the male has a black dot visible when the wings are open and a slight widening or white spot in the same place on the opposite side when the wings are closed. If you look at my pictures from the last three days you'll see examples of both on the queen on the monarchs I have only seen females
