M13 or the Hercules Cluster is probably the most looked at and most beautiful object that can be seen in the Northern skies.
This star cluster was formed about 12 billion years ago, long before earth existed. The globular cluster is 150 light-years in diameter. M13 is about 25,000 light-years away -very close in fact!

Lo ha tradito il suo carattere, quel suo essere per niente timido a dispetto di una stazza che metteva paura. Lo ha tradito un inverno troppo breve, il letargo finito anzitempo che gli aveva lasciato addosso una voglia matta di procurarsi cibo nei centri abitati. Lo ha tradito, infine, aver attraversato il confine, essere uscito dalle zone in cui era protetto per andare a rubare e a razziare in un Paese - la Svizzera - che non ci ha pensato troppo prima di abbatterlo. E così la vita di M13, orso trentino da tempo considerato un sorvegliato speciale a causa delle numerose scorribande, si è conclusa in Val Poschiavo, nel cantone dei Grigioni.
