The 6th Annual Sub-5 Ride for Parkinson’s is a life-changing event for those seeking a physical challenge while supporting the Davis Phinney Foundation’s mission “to help people with Parkinson’s disease to live well today.”
I was invited to photograph the Chinese New Year Celebration at Willow Creek Community Church, including Vovinam Chicago, traditional dance performance and martial arts demonstration.
Messier 13 or M13 (also designated NGC 6205 and sometimes called the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules or the Hercules Globular Cluster) is a globular cluster of about 300,000 stars in the constellation of Hercules.
M13 is about 145 light-years in diameter, and it is composed of several hundred thousand stars, the brightest of which is the variable star V11 with an apparent magnitude of 11.95. M13 is 25,100 light-years away from Earth.

During the Summer of 2014, a couple of my friends rode from the Atlantic (Boston) to Lake Michigan to raise funds to provide 40,000 people with safe water and sanitation resources for life. The ride finished with a reception at the Chicago Velo Campus. Check out wheels4water.org/ to hear their story.
