M/S Polargirl ble bygget i 1962 som passasjerbåten "Tanahorn" for rutefart på den værharde Finnmarkskysten. Båten er 127 fot lang og har en marsjfart på 10 knop.

Båten er sertifisert for totalt 90 passasjerer på dagsturer, og har overnattingsmuligheter for inntil 28 passasjerer.

Min far, Odd Henriksen, var skipper på skuta i tidsrommet 1986-98 da den gjorde tjeneste i kystvakta/bruksvakta.

Nå benyttes båten til diverse chartervirksomhet, med blant annet hvalsafarie i vinterhalvåret.
