K2 Sits Poolside As Stunning Sunset Washes Over Apollo Beach Florida Home - IMRAN™
(My 101st Explore!). This was a 200MB high-resolution panorama created from about a dozen handheld iPhone 11 Pro Max photos. It is hard to imagine the level of detail that exists in the original image. I had to reduce it to 20% size, and sites like FaceBook will literally show barely tolerable quality with something like a 5MB version of a 200MB file.
The sunset is the magical subject of attention, but I just loved how well-behaved and attentive then almost six-month-old puppy K2 was sitting poolside. Kennedy, my older German Shepherd, was behind me as I captured this stunning panorama of a blessed moment in time I have experienced living in this life of mine.

K9 Kennedy Keeping Keen Eye On K2 While Wading In Tampa Bay At Stunning Dusk - IMRAN™ - [In Explore!]
My 88th Photo In Explore! Even though Kennedy hates swimming and initially avoided water at all costs, he discovered he loves wading in Tampa Bay waters up to his underbelly to cool off, but not deeper. K2 is smaller and shorter, and much bolder about going in the swimming pool on his own, while Kennedy goes sits in a corner! But they both love running and wrestling on the beach at my blessed home at lower tides. Kennedy gets wet and K2 being smaller gets soaked. As we ended a gorgeous evening, I caught Kennedy silhouetted by a spectacular Tampa Bay, Florida, dusk at this moment, as he was keeping a keen eye on K2 exploring under the dock.

It was one of the usual lovely Florida sunsets over Tampa Bay, which I missed while out for a walk with the dogs. I was talking to two beautiful neighbors at the beach park as we saw the sunset. But on my return home I could not help but be enamored by the scene unfolding outside. The sharp light beams of soft pink seemed to penetrate their way through sold gold layers across the horizon past Tampa Bay. The golden yellow colors gave way to deeper orange red tones to the edges of the view. The Teal blue swimming pool against the multi-shaded blue sky framed those colors above and below. The waterfall created white puddles of bubbling water in the otherwise calm pool water, behind which Tampa Bay itself appeared calm like a pool. This is a quick panorama stitched from two Nikon D850 handheld photos at my blessed home in Apollo Beach.

Well, actually, no need to shout. Just a different point of view of how I see my world, all around. And quietly say a prayer of gratitude. According to the phone photo GPS info, I was standing 65 feet (about 20 meters) above sea level and about 45 feet (15 m) above street level.
Handheld iPhone 13 Pro Max photos stitched into a quick and dirty 360°x360° panorama. Captured on a cloudy day at my blessed home in Apollo Beach when I used my twenty-eight feet new ladder to get up to the rooftop for these photos.
Tampa Bay is covered by clouds, with a dash of blue visible somewhere around Clearwater, I think. A boat in the water across from my home is easily visible in the view.

German Shepherd Dogs Kennedy & K2 On Dock Enjoying Full Spherical View Of Vivid Sunset On Tampa Bay Florida - IMRAN™
[My 99th Explore!] What a delight to see a sunset by the sea like this. What a pain not to be able to get it in deep detail.
One of the shortcomings of capturing sunsets with a smartphone camera is that one cannot zoom in on the sunset as much as with a DSLR with a real large telephoto lens. On a day like this one, when I was out on the dock with my German Shepherd Dog and puppy, Kennedy and K2 respectively, it made more sense to try to capture the whole scene in a spherical 360°x360° panorama with the cell phone than waste time going inside to get the larger camera.
The equirectangular image can be seen as a flat 2x1 depiction of the whole scene. Or it can be viewed as an interactive panorama by swiping around or moving around your device.
The next challenge, besides not being able to zoom in on the sunset colors, is accurately staying in one spot while turning and taking 2 dozen photos -- while holding the phone as level as possible. Then the additional challenge is taking all the photos in one sequence where TWO very energetic dogs not only sit still for overlapping images to be captured without movement but that they also happen to be sitting in good poses!
I think I managed to capture that in this photo. You can see the artifacts where PhotoShop had to fill in parts of the spot I was standing at or the edges of the light bulb, etc. But, the blessed and magical moment of gratitude and peace was one I think you will appreciate. Sometimes the individual elements of a picture can be quite ordinary. For example, a picnic table at a secluded private beach, some interesting cloud patterns, soft nothing special sunset, and dusk colors, etc. But the combined effect can be quite striking.
That was the case when I was at the private beach of my Symphony Isles neighborhood in Apollo Beach, Florida, at the start of last December. It was not even 6 PM yet, but the sun had already set. Dusk was fading in the distance. But the magic of the scene was just coming alive.
I stood in one spot to take 36 photos with the handheld iPhone 11 Pro Max. I later merged them into this spherical panorama. You can see how the different exposure levels of individual photos lead to some blending issues. For example, one side of a rock or bush is more yellow than the other side of it. But it was still worth doing.
Of course, there are always some who do not care how great a work of art is being created. They will piss all over the scene. Literally. I mean literally! If you look closely, you will see that my then 10-months old German Shepherd puppy, K2, was caught in one of the frames "watering" one of the palm trees. We may not win a photography contest but maybe he can win a pissing contest. LOL.
All kidding aside, the idea is to share with you the magical moment, for you to savor with me, as if you were right next to me, maybe preparing to unpack a light picnic dinner by the seaside at sunset. Come back soon!

Silent Afterburners Roaring Flames Standing Still Racing Across Tampa Bay Florida Sky Sunset - IMRAN™
Sometimes there are moments that are worlds of self-contradictions peacefully colliding, coming together, to create melting moments and magical memories. When a totally tranquil dusk is overshadowed by the very reflections above which are making it shine. When silent and cold roaring flames like from the afterburner exhausts from the twin jets of a cloud warship taking off to spread love and drop peace across the horizon.
This is the moment I was blessed to witness at my blessed home, as the too short summer of surreal 2020 was drawing to a close. I realized at the last moment that the newer D850's batteries were exhausted. But the tried and true older camera was ready to rock. I captured this auto-stitched panorama in 6 photos taken with my dozen-years old Nikon D300.
The SOOC (straight out of camera) and resulting panorama had NO editing or color processing of any kind done to it. I could have made the house, and the swimming pool, a little brighter. I could have tweaked the shadows and highlights. But the moment as it was, mesmerizingly full of contradictions in perfect harmony, was worth sharing as I captured it. What do you think?

Pretty Pink Pastels Fill Fabulous Florida Sunset Sky Scene - IMRAN™
Most of the time I post photos of the stunning sunsets and beautiful skies to the west of my blessed home in Apollo Beach on Tampa Bay, Florida. But one of the parts of the beautiful scenery all around that gets missed every time is the view to the east. I can see some of the colors from inside the house or walk along the side towards the driveway. But the full scenes I only get to share with you when I get time to fly the drone, as I did recently. Just soak in these pretty pink pastels which fill the fabulous Florida sky with reflected colors from the sunset behind the drone camera.

Angry Cloud Monster Glares As White Lightning Whiplashes Sky Over Tampa Bay Turning Black Night Blue - IMRAN™
Look closely. Doesn't that look like a cloud monster with two angry eyes, his face split by the lightning outlining his opening mouth....! Kennedy and I had been on the dock of my blessed home when I did the livestream of an impending thunder and lightning storm that was looming over Tampa Bay like a gigantic invading spaceship from the movie Independence Day. I showed many lightning strikes in the livestream but a streaming app on a smartphone is not geared to capture lightning, which just bathes a video frame in a whitewash effect. I knew a second storm was coming soon. So, this time I went out, later in the night, and climbed on the wall of my swimming pool deck. Distant lightning was flashing beyond downtown Tampa. I clicked a few shots. But I had chosen a 20mm Nikkor lens on my awesome Nikon D850 because I wanted a sky-spanning lightning flash, not a zoomed-in view of a distant strike. And sure enough my patience paid off. This is literally one half of a massive lightning flash that went from south of St. Petersburg to way east beyond Tampa. It was also one-third of the view of the three flashes which filled the sky like a white hot cobweb. During my vigil on the wall, Kennedy, my amazing German Shepherd, patiently sat by the pool keeping an eye on me.

I had flown the Phantom 4 drone after a long time, the night of the Apollo Beach and Symphony Isles Holiday Boat Parades. My lovely friend Kara and I were on my dock with Kennedy and K2, my German Shepherds, as I started the drone landing procedure. With the battery running low I did not want to risk sending it further down the street to photograph other homes. During its descent, the drone captured this colorful and (de)light(s)ful(l) scene.

My (Almost) Next Door Neighbor's House & My Blessed "White House" Home Under Stunning Florida Summer Sky & Sunlight - IMRAN™
I was walking towards my blessed home, the White House at the end of the boulevard, with my dogs Kennedy and K2. I was feeling so much gratitude for all that Almighty Allah, the One God, has blessed me, my family, and my neighbors with.
I was also amazed at how spectacular the almost bright white sunlight made everything look like a poster or magazine image. I stopped to take eight iPhone 11 Pro Max photos of my (nearly) next-door neighbor's fabulous home.
In addition to his White Ferrari, which I always joke should be parked in my driveway to match the white color, he also collects vintage cars. One of them is visible in the photo.
NO editing was done to ANY of the SOOC (straight out of camera) photos, or to the final panorama. The colors literally were this incredible. The stunning blue sky, bright white clouds, vivid green grass, and their place and my home gleaming under nature's studio light. Gratitude.

It was such a perfect blue day on Tampa Bay, Florida at my blessed home in Apollo Beach, I had to put down my cold coffee beverage to take this absolutely unedited photo. Not one bit of color was changed on the SOOC (straight out of camera) iPhone 11 Pro Max photo, other than adding my name.
The sun was at such a perfect angle that every beautiful shade of blue can be seen in the moment. Several families on boats were hanging out past my dock on the bay. Blessed, happy, and always deep in gratitude.

It was a really dark night when clouds kept the moon or any stars from shining through. What words could be needed to describe a breathtaking sunset and dusk like this among the ones I am blessed to experience and bow my heard in gratitude on seeing each and every time? It is a rough panorama 360x360 auto-stitched from about 18 handheld iPhone 11 Pro Max while perched on the edge of the dock railing trying to not fall off while rotating on a 9 inches wide plank. So you will see some artifacts in the image, but all I see is an eruption of unbridled, unconditional, unstoppable love in the sky above and around me.

Blessings & Beauty, Breathtaking Sunset Tampa Bay Florida Panorama - IMRAN™ (SOOC)
Even though it was tempting to brighten and equalize the dark blue shades and hues of the water, I chose to present this breathtaking sunset on Tampa Bay, Florida, as a stitched image from 11 magnificent Nikon D850 photos straight out of camera, with ZERO color editing or tweaking of any kind. The image had to be straightened because I seem to always tilt my camera to the right in portrait orientation photos, and the top edge had some content aware fill artifacts cleaned up to fill blank white spaces. But, the tones, the shades, the colors, the hues, the magic, are all as I saw them and as the Nikon faithfully captured them. What a blessing to experience this moment at my blessed home in Apollo Beach while I am alive and able to, by God's blessings. These sunsets and ends of the days will continue long after the end of our days on earth. But, what better way to have lived than to have appreciated every moment, every blessing, every experience, and having been fortunate enough to capture some of those magical glimpses into the beauty of nature for posterity. Thank you for the love and prayers, always, as I bow my head in prayer to the Almighty Allah, the One God of all creation, and heaven and earth.

Almost all sunsets are magical, and many are incredible. Dusks on Tampa Bay, Florida at my blessed home in Apollo Beach are always spectacular. But sometimes they are more than can be described in words. This is one of them. It looks like Fanta & some Strawberry Festival colors in the sky.

Winter Water Wading Fabulous Florida Flying Drone Dogs Dockside - IMRAN™
Sure, living in Florida nonstop for the last two years due to the pandemic thinned my blood enough to make 50s Florida weather feel chilly. But you can take the boy out of New York but not take New York out of the boy. Well, man in this case.
Sure, I put on a turtleneck because of the cold 50-60°F winds this month. But what better way to show I am a New Yorker at heart despite being a Florida-living loving beach-lover than this. Wading in the wonderful winter-like waters of Tampa Bay in fabulous Florida, dockside at my blessed home in Apollo Beach. Having my two chill German Shepherd Dogs Kennedy and K2 keeping me company while I shot a few drone selfie clips and pics with the DJI Phantom 4 made it ever more fun.

German Shepherd Dogs K2 & Kennedy Enjoying Wading In Tampa Bay Florida On Stunning Friday Morning After Thanksgiving Perfect For Boating - IMRAN™
Today, the Friday morning after quite an event-filled Thanksgiving, was an absolute image of tranquility and perfection on Tampa Bay Florida. This is a panorama created from two absolutely unedited SOOC (straight out of camera) iPhone 11 Pro Max photos. We were at the small private beach of my lovely Symphony Isles neighborhood in Apollo Beach.
The image shows just how stunningly beautiful the blue sky and blue waters were this morning. You can see boats, sailboats and other vessels on this perfect day for anything seaside.
Kennedy always loves to wade in the water, and K2, who is actually more into swimming than his older brother, then usually follows in.
Check out the amazing "rings of wet light" around K2, where the ripples from his steps are reflecting and refracting the light as if a creature made of light was swimming around him. Even the water splashing at K2's feet is clearly visible in the image, although Facebook's dog-poop quality file uploads may not show the full detail. So I even include a link there for people to see things like this on Flickr.

Blue & Gold Morning Tampa Bay Florida At Low Tide - IMRAN™
Can you see the osprey flying past me under the height of the upstairs windows? Super low tides at Apollo Beach always create beautiful moments. But when aligned with certain hours and light conditions, the effect can be surreal. The sand on either side of the boating channel at my blessed home is obviously all of the same color, consistency and texture. However, with the way the early morning rising sun's golden rays paint the sand further away more red and yellow, the sandy beach up against my seawall shows much more of its white and light nature. This is actually a panorama created from about 8 handheld iPhone 11 Pro Max photos taken from the upstairs bay windows to give the full perspective of the colors playing off each other. Another moment of gratitude.
