I sat in a luxury box at Monday night's Nats game, directly behind home plate. You know those people who say the wealthy are just like us? They're lying to you. They've got fresher fruit, comfier chairs, colder beer and better views. And it's all served with real silverware. And when you're done, they bring out special cookies. Special cookies! Because the pomegranate and papaya weren't enough!
And psssst: They watch their baseball games in the air conditioning, too. None of that 101-degree heat for them! Imagine what that would do to the papaya!
Today I went on the Candlestick tour. If you are a 49er fan and you haven't gone on this tour, you need to buy your tickets A.S.A.P. The tour is simply awesome. You will love the tour guides, and you will learn so much 49er history. And best of all, you will be able see this location inside and out.
This shot was taken from one of the Luxury boxes (behind glass). This room fits 30 people, and would cost you $30,000 for the day.

How cute is Molly's cylon baby?!

The people in the luxury boxes tear themselves away from the TV sets they have access to and watch the game way down below them. And what could they possibly watch on those TVs? How about other NBA games, NHL games, men's and women's NCAA basketball games, and even the Red Sox in a Grapefruit League game! (One of the boxes above us did have a baseball game on.)

I had the honor of spending the evening in my company's luxury box at AT&T park last night. Rather then peeing in a trough, we get fancy bathrooms on our floor. I mean, look... the toilets are glowing. GLOWING. They're just begging me to use them. And their paperless, handless hand-dryer is the best I've ever experienced.
So this is what it's like to pee rich.
