This was taken by my husband in our bathroom at The Signatures of MGM Grand-one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. We were on one of the Penthouse floors-37 stories up with a balcony. Such a great trip-can't wait for next year!
One of the rare shots of me-don't like to have my picture taken much. Everything is on schedule with my braces & post jaw surgery-hopefully only another few months.
Gents -- It would not be appropriate for you to just sit there in your spacious hotel bathroom all night long and just stare out at the hallway mirror. So now that you are here on the Fabulous Las Vegas Strip, what do you want to do?
Zumanity by Cirque du Soleil and all the other Vegas topless stage shows are Dark indefinitely! Neither George Strait, Reba McEntire, nor Brooks & Dunn, or even Shania Twain will be headlining anywhere on the Vegas Strip any time soon! And all bars and nightclubs have been shut down -- perhaps for the next two months or longer!
So now what?!?!
Perhaps now would be an excellent opportunity for you to venture out into the coming sunset and twilight to see if you can score a prime time patio table at some luxurious world-class restaurant. Maybe you can get a glorious lake view dinner table at Spago or maybe at Lago by Julian Serrano or maybe at Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio Resort & Casino? Or maybe you can bag a Strip-View patio table at Mon Ami Gabi or at Hexx or at the Beer Park at the Paris Hotel & Casino? All six of those fabulous restaurants offer spectacular views of Lake Bellagio! 🤔😷 Although all bars are closed in Las Vegas, you can still order drinks and cocktails at any sit down restaurant or at any sit down lounge! And now because of Social Distancing, the patio dining scene all up-and-down the Strip and especially around Lake Bellagio will be more private and more romantic! 😁😷🍸
So perhaps you should immediately vacate your bathroom throne in your NY-NY guest room and venture out of your room and explore what's open and available on the Strip. Do so because even in the midst of a global pandemic, Life Is Still Good Here! 😃
It's Bed Time -- So what are you thinking as you take that last glance of the day out the east window of your luxurious NY-NY hotel guest room? The last glance of the day down upon a bright and busy Las Vegas Strip that never sleeps -- even in the midst of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic! Perhaps you're reminding yourself that this July trip was intended to be a romantic trip for two originally scheduled for May. But then the Governor shut down the entire state! And then your very lovely lady decided she wasn't going to come out of her house until someone invented a vaccine for COVID-19!
So here you are...
Your very lovely lady didn't call you tonight. It's 1 am MST and your woman has long since gone to bed. But what would you have told her? She would have been terrified of sitting on an airplane filled with people sitting all around her. It didn't bother you because your flight was only 2/3rds occupied. She would have been delighted at the greater than usual availability of luxury poolside cabanas. She would have enjoyed laying out in the summer sun in her private luxury cabana. She would have been pleased that Gallagher's Steakhouse was still up and running. She would have savored her six-ounce(m) filet. She would have been disappointed with missing the Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn Show at the Caesars Palace Colosseum. She would have been sad and mad with not being able to go nightclub dancing at the Le Cabaret Lounge at the Paris Hotel & Casino.
But you are not sad and mad -- you just adapt.
So go ahead and take that last glance out your window. Gaze down upon the Fabulous Las Vegas Strip and then go and finish hand washing your COVID-19 face mask in hot soapy water, and then go to bed. You've had a long and busy day and you've earned a good night's sleep. Sleep well because you have five more Vegas days ahead of you!

From your home base at Treasure Island you are about half way between the Far North Strip and the Far South Strip -- which makes a full day on camera safari more workable.
And if you're going to be walking several miles a day in triple digit desert heat, then you need to have a really nice base to come home to after midnight. The Petite Suites at Treasure Island are the best deluxe accommodations available short of a full Penthouse Suite. These large mini suites feature two bathrooms, one with a very deep Jacuzzi, and the other bathroom with a large stand-up shower. The extra space is dedicated to a sofa-sleeper, a large Ottoman, and a dining table and chairs. All suites are on high floors between the 28th and the 34th floors and face either the Las Vegas Strip or the Fashion Show Mall.
Free line dance lessons at Gilley's Saloon & BBQ start at 7pm and there are never enough men in attendance.
