This car was manufactured by the Auburn Automobile Company based in Auburn, Indiana. This company also build Cords and Duesenbergs.
The 1935 Auburns were acclaimed for both their art deco styling and outstanding performance. Their flowing design emphasizes the long hood and recessed radiator. In the deluxe models, the external stainless steel exhaust pipes indicate the presence of a Schwitzer-Cummins supercharger that increases horsepower from 115 to 150. Coupled with a
Columbia two-speed rear axle, this car can achieve speeds of 100 mph.
Unfortunately, the ongoing Great Depression limited car sales and the Auburn Automobile Company ceased production in 1937. Less than 50 of these cars remain

Das Mysterium von Hammām. In einer Flasche.

Hammām is a turkish or oriental bath. It's not just about cleansing the body – a visit is a true celebration of body and soul. Here, everyday life is simply washed away in pleasant warmth under dim light, lots of soap foam and water – true luxury. The Hammām is a further development of the Greco-Roman baths that the Byzantines used, later the Arabs took over.
The soap foam here in my picture is in a small bottle, which is perhaps more suitable for a fragrance essence than for a full bath, at least for our proportions, the front section measures 1.2 inches ;-) The two bottles in blue and red come from a wonderful trip from Egypt ...

Als Hammām wird ein türkisches oder orientalisches Bad bezeichnet. Es geht nicht nur um die Reinigung des Körpers – ein Besuch ist ein wahres Fest für Körper und Seele. Hier wird der Alltag in angenehmer Wärme unter gedämpftem Licht, viel Seifenschaum und Wasser einfach weggespült - wahrer Luxus. Der Hammām ist eine Weiterentwicklung des griechisch-römischen Bades, das die Byzantiner benutzt haben, später haben es die Araber übernommen.
Der Seifenschaum hier in meinem Bild befindet sich in einer kleinen Flasche, die vielleicht doch eher für eine Duftessenz als für ein Vollbad geeignet ist, jedenfalls für unsere Größenverhältnisse, der Ausschnitt vorn misst 3 cm ;-) Die beiden Flaschen in Blau und Rot stammen von einer wunderschönen Reise aus Ägypten ...

Inverlochy Castle Hotel, formerly known as Inverlochy Castle, is a 19th-century baronial mansion near Fort William, Scotland. It is located about two miles away from the 13th century Inverlochy Castle, after which it was named. This is a baronial mansion was built in 1863 by William Scarlett, 3rd Baron Abinger, soon after succeeding his father as Baron Abinger in 1861. Queen Victoria spent a week at Inverlochy during an 1873 visit to Balmoral, remarking "I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot". The house and estate were sold in 1944 to a Canadian entrepreneur, Joseph Hobbs, the owner of the nearby Ben Nevis distillery. Upon inheriting the estate, Hobbs' son converted the house into a hotel, which opened for the first guests in 1969.
It was voted the number 17 "best hotel in Europe" by Travel + Leisure magazine in 2001.

The “Power to the Flower” exhibition at Drents Museum De Buitenplaats in Eelde runs through June 15, 2025.
In the first of the half of twentieth century it was extremely popular to travel by steamship. Th wealthy class could bath in luxery during such a trip. Artist Caral Adolph Lion Cachet designed the interiors of almost a hundred steamships. His furniture, wall panels and carpets were lavishly decorated and sometimes embelished with gold. Our entry to this luxery Moroccan hotel was one big wow. This is the lobby, with in the distance another spacious room. My first night in this hotel exceeded my wildest expectations. Literally!

The hotel's restaurant serves traditional cuisine. You can also sample a selection of teas and beverages on the terrace, which offers panoramic views of Fez.
The property is located in the medieval city of Fez. The Medersa Bou 'Inania and Al Quaraouiyine University are a short distance from the property.
This district (Fez el-Bali) is an ideal choice for travelers who are interested in these themes: open-air markets, shopping and markets.

This histotic gem near Mt Vernon was the original home of Baltimore City College HS, until the school needed to move to larger quarters in 1928. After numerous other educational uses, it was left vacant after 1978. It is now wonderfully restored as luxery apartments, with no two units the same!! HWW!
A gorgeous building in Utrecht! It is a bit awry.
