its been about 8 months since i joined flickr and i gotta say...I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!

… machen die über Kempten umgeleiteten EuroCitys einen ganzen Sommer lang, während auf der Memminger Strecke der Fahrdraht gezogen wird und gleichzeitig viele weitere Bauarbeiten stattfinden.

Einen wunderschönen Sommerabend vor Augen, heißt es an diesem Tag früh mit der Arbeit zu beginnen, um nach Feierabend pünktlich bei Ratholz für den nach Basel SBB fahrenden EC 192 bereit zu stehen. Den Bauarbeiten ist es nicht nur geschuldet, dass er über Kempten umgeleitet wird, sondern auch, dass er ausnahmsweise in Augsburg beginnt.

Mit seinen acht Wagen passt er perfekt zu dieser Fotostelle, die dank vorausgegangener Gleiserneuerung gründlich ausgeholzt ist. Eine tolle Kulisse: Der Große Alpsee mit dem ihm vorgelagerten Ried, dahinter der 1738 Meter hohe Grünten, und ganz am Horizont schließlich die etwas niedrigeren Gipfel von Alpspitz, Reuterwanne und Edelsberg, die sich in knapp 30 Kilometern Entfernung, und somit bereits im Ostallgäu, erheben. Die Pferde im Vordergrund lassen sich gerade das Abendgras schmecken.
