We've stayed at the Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort in Mexico many times, with the 1st visit in the 1990's (different name back then). Since our last stay it has been completely redone. The room was wonderful and each day when it was made up there

were red rose petals strewn on the white bed duvet. This is about as close to opulent as I've ever come.
