Inspired by the "Just A Little" exhibit by *Hayley Dixon*, which I think is just stunning. Here is my attempt at just a little color.

You can check out her gallery at Artsville I don't know when it ends since it's not my exhibit so hop to it.

Common Water Frog / Teichfrosch (Pelophylax esculentus)

between water lily leaves

Botanical Garden, Frankfurt

As I walked through Circle B Bar Reserve, a wetland reserve near Lakeland, Florida, it was as if this gator was waiting for me in particular . . . I was not so close as this image might appear, using 300mm to reach him.

A Futuro house, or Futuro Pod, is a round, prefabricated house designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen, of which fewer than 100 were built during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The shape, reminiscent of a flying saucer, and the structure's airplane hatch entrance has made the houses sought after by collectors. The Futuro is composed of fiberglass-reinforced polyester plastic, polyester-polyurethane, and poly(methyl methacrylate), measuring 4 metres (13 feet) high and 8 metres (26 feet) in diameter.

Unfortunately, the spider is not easy to see, but it is there, lurking...

Grey Heron in the reeds. When they stay still they are very difficult to spot

I guess my first thought when I saw how this turned out was that the other daisies in the background were playing hide and seek with the lens.

Gum Tree Shield Bug (Poecilometis ellipticus)

A few of these around the garden at the moment.

A restaurant worker takes a break in the alley. Shot in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood.

Gargoyle on the Dome tower in Frankfurt looking on the river Main and the Eiserner Steg across it.

I was leaving Fernhill, and heard a yellowthroat calling in the brush. Decided to pish it out, and it cooperatively showed itself, then went back into hiding. Got a few shots in that revealed position.

Pagan dragonfly (Sympetrum)

Pinstripe Longhorn Beetle (Syllitus rectus)

Spotted lurking in my overgrown back corner today. I don't often see these well dressed beetles.

Looks like there is another bug hiding beneath the petal this bee is sitting on. Didn't see it until I looked at it big on my computer.

What lurks in the corners of my mind. Fear, anxiety, despair, grief... but facing these is the only way to let the light in and overcome them.

Hiding in the shadows.

Fly

This one was lurking in the shadows the other day. I don't know what species of fly this is so if anyone has any idea please let me know.

Happy Fly Day Friday!

Alligator in a wetlands drainage ditch. Near Anahuac, Texas.

Here is Tofu doing what cats do when they are outside and that is stalking birds and anything that moves. As the rather hot weather continues this only happens early in the morning or late in the evening and for the rest of the day the creatures in the gardens around here are safe. :)

Jumping Spider

This wee one was hiding on the Jade plant.

Long exposure on Shoeburyness East Beach

This American Alligator sticks his nose out of the dense scrub of the swamp at Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland, Florida.

Native Cockroach (Balta family, poss B. epilamproides)

Lurking on the Jade plant, waiting for any unwelcome, pest bugs to come along so it can have dinner. Always happy to see these cleaning up the garden.

Common Gum Tree Shield Bug (Poecilometis patruelis)

Seen lurking on our hedge.

...... in my garden. Little 'Forget Me Nots'.
