Luna has a mind that goes from 0 to 120 in mere seconds. She needs space for her brain, body and spirit. She's not the kind of dog most would want around. She's complicated. I love her.
I was surprised and delighted to find this Luna Moth on my deck today. I haven’t seen one in about 15 years
The Luna Moth is a wild silk moth found only in North America, including Canada. It is a very large moth with a wingspan of 3 to 4.5” (80 to 115 mm). It is a nocturnal species and not often seen in the daytime. It prefers forested areas of walnut, hickory, sweet gum and Birch trees.
It’s natural enemies are owls and bats. These moths are becoming more and more scarce.
