Die Hut-Anprobe

Europe, The Netherlands, Gelderland, Arnhem Centraal, NS, railway station, UNStudio (uncut)

Displayed here is the central station hall of the station (UNStudio, 2015), near the Utrechtsestraat entrance. Stylistically the inside of this hall harks back to classic modernistic edifices (the curvy ones - especially those of Oscar Niemeyer came to mind).

I still dig the spatial flow, geometric shifts and line & light play of this part of the station.

Windmühle von 1867 erbaut aus Backsteinen als Turmholländer. Wandstärke 100 cm (3,28084 feet). Mühlenbetrieb bis 1958, heute Nutzung als Feriendomizil. Besichtigung möglich am Deutschen Mühlentag.
