Every time we visit Swanage the pier is always closed, but today it was open to 8pm (well this is England!) and not many people around, so ideal to take some photos.

Lumix GX80 + Metabones 0.64 + Meritar 45mm f2.9
the Meritar lens adapted to L mount focal distance .. so in this case works just like a close up lens :)
one of the first MFT AF lens for mirrorless cameras from Lumix. It was released in 2008, as one of the first Micro Four Thirds lenses, along with the Lumix G 14-45mm lens and the Lumix G1 camera.
Very compact and works very well.
The second leg of the Dorset Moon tour. This weekend it's in Sherborne Abbey, with choir music.
These shots are all straight out of the camera (I did use a tripod), and as with the Bournemouth shots, they've come out really well.
With the choir singing there was less scope for getting under and around the moon, but even so it's a wonderful installation to see.

Test shots on Poole Quay.
Yey...I've bought a Lumix GX80.
Now I need to figure out what to do with the Lumix LX100 that's got dust on the sensor.
The menus on the GX80 are similar to the LX100, but it has a touch screen which I need to work out how to use.
But as it has interchangeable lenses, should not have the problems I've had with the Lumix, which is a shame because it's been a great camera.

I booked the afternoon off work, and had a lovely afternoon at the air festival. The weather got better and better as the afternoon went on.
