I booked the afternoon off work, and had a lovely afternoon at the air festival. The weather got better and better as the afternoon went on.

It's ages since I've been to Boscombe Beach (considering I used to live just up from here).
We can now go for an early evening drive, which is good for a change of scene.
Covid roadmap out of lockdown.

Annual seafood festival in Weymouth. Plenty of people, food and sunshine and a good opportunity for some candid photography!

We went to Weymouth to buy some fresh fish for my husband's birthday. It was mega busy so we didn't stay long.

Meopta Stigmar 55mm f1.25 projection lens, adapted for my FF S1R, but works very well on MFT too :) soft and dreamy look.
Orobanche elatior. This was another interesting find on a site visit for work (a month ago). This is a very rare plant in East Yorkshire. Broomrapes are unusual in that they have no chlorophyll and get their nutrients by parasitizing other plants. This species is parasitic on Greater Knapweed Centaurea scabiosa, which grows on calcareous soils and is much less common in East Yorkshire than the Common or Black Knapweed C. nigra. This was taken in the Yorkshire Wolds with the 12-32 compact kit lens on the Lumix GX80 which I normally just use for habitat shots.

Bikers night on Poole Quay, which is on every Tuesday in the summer. I used the Lumix GX80 with the 45-150 lens for a change.

We avoided the coast, as much too busy, and headed out to the countryside again, as much quieter.

I finally managed to get out with the camera today.
Sorry for lack of comments, that thing called full time work taking up my time again, plus house stuff & a minor cold!

I've bought a new lens (45 to150 mm) for my Lumix GX80 camera. The folk festival seemed the ideal place to road test it!
