Skradinski Buk waterfalls, at Krka National Park, Croatia

An afternoon in Weymouth & Portland. Not the sunny weather that was forecast, but it didn't matter, just good to get a change of scene.

We took the scenic route back from Southampton this afternoon. A couple of shots of ponies in the New Forest.

A second visit to photograph the Upside Gallery street art project. The concrete pillars on the flyover have been transformed with street art murals.

I was lucky as there was a weather window with sunshine during my lunch break!

There's a new photography skill-taking photos with a mask and steamed up glasses!

We went to Weymouth to buy some fresh fish for my husband's birthday. It was mega busy so we didn't stay long.

Annual seafood festival in Weymouth. Plenty of people, food and sunshine and a good opportunity for some candid photography!

Bar, Scotland.

Bikers night on Poole Quay, which is on every Tuesday in the summer. I used the Lumix GX80 with the 45-150 lens for a change.

The lovely little Norman church was built in 1165 AD. It sits close by the ruins of the Cistercian abbey at Hailes, Gloucestershire, which was built 100 years after the church. When the abbey was fully established, the church was 'demoted' and became known as a capella ante porta, or a chapel before the gate.

Black and White

I've taken loads of photos this week, so it's hard to pick one for my photo of the week, but as my grandkids were visiting I've chosen this one, that represents summer holidays so well!

Mudeford spit 23.08.2019

Week 34 in my 52 weeks in 2019 project, 20 to 26 August 2019.

For my 120 photos in 2020 project, number 58 "inspire your heart with art" to be taken week of 28/01/2020 to 03/02/2020.

I was hoping to get a photo for this theme today (as it was sunny). I was on the bus this morning and noticed some graffiti on a car park wall, on Terrace Road.

I went back in my lunch break and did a close up, love the heart and silver paint (although I don't think the residents whose car park it's in would be so complementary.

So street art of graffiti? Well it must be art as it inspired me to go and take a photo!

Bournemouth 29.01.2020

Day 2 with the new camera, but I've not had much time to use it (have to catch up house stuff).

However, I have now got a case for it -just need to sit down and study the manual now!

You won't believe the temperature outside looking at this, but it registered 28 degrees on the car thermometer ...strange!

Baiter Park, Poole 26.05.2018

I shot off 21 frames, all candid except for the last five where we made eye contact.

Although there are some great candids I actually prefer this one as he looked so happy.

Sometime later he received a 18x12 print of this image.

He was a happy man – he’d just won this bottle of 15 year old Glenfiddich in a raffle at one of the market stalls.

The Glenfiddich distillery nestles between the village of Dufftown and the River Fiddich in Banffshire, Scotland. The distillery can be seen on a cold, still air morning, two photos back from this one in my photostream:

There are more than a dozen distilleries within an eight-mile radius of my home. One of them, The Macallan, just three miles from my home, embarked on a huge civil engineering project and was covered by six photographers, Steve McCurry, Martin Parr, Paolo Pellegrin, Mark Power, Gueorgui Pinkhassov and Alec Soth from Magnum Photos, see:

I found it interesting to see his photos from inside one of my local bars.
