Domenica 8 maggio comincia l’estate del Carroponte di Sesto San GIovanni, uno degli ormai tradizionali appuntamenti della stagione live milanese, con i 5 Seconds of Summer, la band australiana che dal 2011 ha saputo ritagliarsi un ruolo rilevante nel panorama rock internazionale, trasformandosi nel giro di dieci anni da fenomeno per adolescenti a interessante gruppo rock.
Nati come band nel 2011, i 5 Seconds of Summer sono stati definiti “i più grandi artisti rock nel mondo” da Rolling Stone e sono la sola band nella storia ad aver visto i loro primi 3 album in studio entrare direttamente al primo posto la classifica Billboard 200.
La band ha venduto oltre 2.5 milioni di biglietti per i loro concerti in giro per il mondo, e oltre 12 milioni di album. Di recente sono entrati nell’esclusiva Billions Club di Spotify con la loro super hit “Youngblood”. Tra i premi ricevuti, ricordiamo i 10 European Music awards, 5 ARIA awards, 2 MTV Video Music Awards, 1 American Music Award, 1 People’s Choice Award, 2 iHeartRadio Music Awards e 3 APRA Awards.
