I have tried to take a photo of Leland road at sunset a few times but it never quite worked out, this is my best attempt yet.

As well as being a memorial for Billy Bremner the statue at Ellannd road has also become a memorial for all Leeds fans with families placing flowers for their loved ones around the base.

Taken a few hours before Leeds United's return to the Premier League was confirmed and crowds of thousands descended on the area.

"Little Billy Bremner is the captain of the crew

For the sake of Leeds United he would break himself in two

His hair is red and fuzzy and his body's black and blue

But Leeds go marching on".

There is a sad story behind this one, Ben and Jamie were best pals that were killed in a road traffic accident in to 2005. LUFC is Leeds United Football Club.

47477 heads for Leeds through Marsh Lane Cutting, between Neville Hill depot and Leeds City station on 6th June 1981. This loco had worked 1E54 07:28 Swansea-Leeds earlier in the day and would work 1V97 16:38 Leeds-Bristol in the evening,so perhaps this is the Empty Stock for that working? Note the LUFC (Leeds United Football Club) graffiti on the wall above highlighting the popularity of the local team in this area!!

A lovely evening walk in Whitby.

Lemmy the Bear, aka Big Bear was associated with LUFC and Whitby Fisherman's Society Football Club. He tragically died at 27 in a single car road traffic accident on the A171 on 11th August 2015.

This mural celebrates Luke Ayling's blistering strike in Leeds United's derby win over Huddersfield Town in March 2020, which won him the "goal of the season" award.

That game also turned out to be my last visit to Elland Road before the Covid-19 lockdown....
