Pillaging the archives again! I have been fortunate in that for most of my life I have been able to go to Yosemite. (first time-1954) To camp, to hike, weddings, celebrating my birthday every year...etc. And through out those years one of my enduring memories is of the special aura of El Capitan. whether viewed from valley floor, Glacier Point or the cliffs above it, at some point it always gives me that moment where it takes my breath away for a second... and just wow.

Octobers chilly weather does good for a lonely soul

We are out on the veranda, breathing in the cold breeze

Lovely blanket wrapped around me

Mark is on his way to Canada

Aiko and me are eating our breakfast alone after all these days

It's really weird

Being apart when you know we should never be apart

Feeling so blessed in the way my life has turned

All love to give

All love to receive

Wow what a journey

And he will soon be back

I nearly can't wait

It's 4:30AM Wednesday the 18th right now.

Tomorrows plan is to be the first in the door

at the dog clinic. That would be at 9:AM sharp.

In my hand will be Mollys health booklet and

the small cooler. By 9:30AM Mollys meds will

be packed in the cooler under ice. Next move

the cooler is securely strapped to the seat of

the scooter and I'm then headed in an easterly

direction towards Cambodia. Most likely within

an hour Molly will have been injected and fed.

Blondie, who's Perfesser Bear dog will also be

fed cuz he's Ms Mollies boyfriend and never

leaves her side. At that point I will probably

drop in on the nuns with special supplies ;-)

A very wet, very stinky monkey boy !

The plan was to return to the m/c field

this morning. Around 6:AM my body

had other plans, so we didn't go.

FYI,

I'm sitting on the deck we talked about

in the last photo. The Monkey had

decided to take shelter from

the storm, so I shot him.

Less then a second later all three dogs

were off chasing some birds that

had landed about 200 meters

away. Didn't really mater

cuz they were all very

very wet already.

Thanks to all who help in supporting

this crazy jungle dog adventure.

We do all the leg work ;-)

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

Photo # 1 of # 2.

Mr Little Larry The Pipsqueak going

bananas at the birdhouse yard ;-)---

Pumpkin Pie and Boney Baloney

were 1st taken to the mud/cobra

field for an hour of real big fun.

Then I returned home and picked up

Mr Little Larry & Miss Legs The Zoomer.

Turned around and headed back to

the birdhouse yard where both dogs

are in a secured area with a block wall.

The Zoomer slowly checked everything

closely while Larry went absolutely nuts.

When we returned home I finally had breakfast.

Looked around and saw all four dogs laying on

their sides with long purple tongues hanging out.

Oh No, is something wrong with all the dogs ?

Quickly thumbed through the "Dog Book 4 Dummies."

I found a quote from Mr heiney,

"A Tired Dog Is A Good Dog."

Oh what a relief, why didn't I think of that ?

Ha Ha, Just having some fun here ;-)---

Pumpkin Pie, Boney Baloney, The Zoomer

& Mr Little Larry are having way to much fun.

Cropped dog photo with extra sharpness added. This photo was taken outdoor at night. The dog's master decided I should call the dog "Lucky Dog" because I needed to take several photos until I got one just right. The best shot was a "Lucky Shot" of "Lucky Dog". He wasn't sitting still and I wanted to get a front view of the dog's face. PLEASE do NOT post this image on other websites without my permission.

To celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dog, Red Racer teamed up with Taiwan's Redpoint Brewing Company. Made using kumquats, this is an easy-drinking, fruit-forward beer that is both complex and very refreshing. Bring in the new year with a bit of luck and a delicious craft beer.

Abused, Abandoned, Jungle Dogs.

So just what's going on here you ask ?

Note the date, December 10th 2020.

On December 18th 2020 The Monkey

had been neutered and had moved in

with us. FYI, No# 1 always took a great

deal of time to pick the hundreds of tics

off his skinny and undernourished body.

He has just received a much needed

injection prior going to the dog clinic.

On the morning of the 18th he was

given a bath after removing more

tics then scooped up an taken to

the dog clinic for his surgery ;-)

By dark-thirty on the 18th he

had been taken to his new

forever home, right here.

Another throwaway dog wins the lotto.

We are very fortunate to have The Monkey

living with us. Lots of real silly monkey fun.

But lets not forget Little Larry The Monkey

is also sponsored by nina.polareuth and

here's a Big Thank You for all your help.

Not Abandoned or Abused Street Dogs.

OK, Just having a little fun here with a

photo from the past.

For a number of years I taught school in

a "very poor" area. And I mean Very Poor!

This is up in the mountains where a lot of

rubber plantations are. About 25 klicks

North of our place on the river.

Kids loved to come to school and learn

from Mr Jon where they could just be

themselves with no one judging them .

There used to be an ongoing joke if you hear

a bunch of happy kids cheering and laughing

that would be Mr Jons class room.

All dogs that behaved were also encouraged

to attend class too.

Yesterday I sorta kinda over did it a little bit

so today and maybe tomorrow is cancelled !

Thank You.

It's back to business almost as usual ;-)

Sometime around 6:23AM we arrived

at the mud cobra field. Didn't even

slow down on our approach at

the entry. Twisted the wick

and went for it. And we

made it into the first

part of the field

mostly in 1

piece.

Unloaded the dogs and off they went.

Between 1:AM & 2:AM it rained hard.

Once in the field it was easy to see

the tractor and been busy mowing

which made it easier for me to see

any mr murphy traps, and there's

a bunch of them at every turn.

But this time his traps were circumvented.

Well mostly, at times it got real sketchy

and my old man skills prevailed ;-)---

Went all the way to the shelter and up and

down a few passable isles. In this photo

we are at the southwestern side of the

palm oil plantation. River is a stones

throw to the left. Mr Busy Boy is

having way to much fun. By

8:AM they were packed

up and we headed

back home ;-)

We arrived at the mud cobra field around 6:23AM.

The last 2 days we've been having off and on rain

storms. This is good keeping the dust down some.

The trail, path, semi road getting to the entrance

of the mud cobra field was full of deep mud holes.

Notice they weren't called mud puddles.

They are deep holes now filled with mud.

Not complaining just stating the facts.

Everything seemed softer due to the rain.

Lately everything felt brittle and rough ;-(

Dogs went crazy as predicted but after

an hour their pink tongues had turned

into purple tongues. More water was

being consumed from the pink bowl.

Dogs coats are semi soaking wet !

This is good, as mr heiney would say -

........"A Tired Dog Is A Good Dog.".........

OK now we'll discuss this photo -

The Monkey, who is Ninas dog, is watching me

real close cuz I'm sitting up on the shelters

platform. See all the small broken pieces

of blue roofing tile. Mr Boney Baloney

is circling us like a shark as Pumpkin

lays just on the edge of our camp.

She always does that, guarding.

After an hour or so we packed-up and

headed home where the dogs are fed.

Now it's my turn to eat something

then take a long well needed nap.

Thanks for stopping by ;-)

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

Mr Little Larry The Pipsqueak.

We are up on the roof at The Dog Palace.

As you can see he's a skinny bag of bones.

As sick and undernourished as he is he is

still so happy to see me. And it is through

your help that Little Larry was saved from

a slow agonizing death. On December 18

2020 he had been neutered and living in

our home. He now is loved everyday and

has a soft bed to call his own. His belly is

always full and all medications are current.

ps:

Getting back to a soft bed he can call his own.

Sometimes The Pumpkin steals his bed, but

only temporarily when she isn't feeling well.

Of course, Little Larry steals her bed too.

It is a real joy to have Little Larry The Monkey

entertaining us and keeping the other dogs

constantly on the move. A real blessing ;-)-

Again we want to thank all of you

who helped in making this happen.

Abused, Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

Mister Little Larry The Pipsqueak

is really happy in his new home ;-)

On the first night it was real obvious

the cone wasn't going to work out.

So K9 PJ's were put in place and

he calmend down pretty fast.

Sence then it's been fair

sailing. This will take

sometime but we

knew that from

the get go ;-)

He gets regular walks so he can

pee an poop and his diet is now

ballanced. Mimi and The Zoomer

are real curious while Mr Boney

pays no attention to him at this

time. Miss Pumpkin won't come

near but that's just the way she is.

The Pipsqueak is turning out to be

quite affectionate. Small kisses

are turning into a regular

event. His eyes tell

the whole story.

He knows he just won the lottery ;-)

Here's a special Pipsqueak thank you

for everybody who has helped along

the way. More updates will be posted

regulary and the temple dogs will also

continue to be cared for. Trips out to the

temple will be scaled back due to budget

cutbacks but food an supplies will continue.

Reorganization/downsizing is our new world order.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Street Photography, Jungle Style.

Back Story .........................................

As I downshifted and leaned hard left into

the monkey temple Leg Man and Mama

were within 10 meters of the entry.

Leg Man was sweeping the road, Mama

jumped up and came running at me.

Slowly so not to run into Mama I passed her

causing Mama to do a 180 and chase me as

we passed the driveway to The Dog Palace.

We're heading for the nuns place cuz I have a

special present for them.

Carefully strapped to the scooter is 3 kilos of

fresh, sweet, organically grown mangoes.

Pulled in an handed off the mangoes to some

very grateful nuns.

Doesn't get any better then this ........;-)~ ~~

Within one minute Mama, Rocky and Legs

the Zoomer were all chasing me back to

The Dog Palace. Bingo room is opened and

the same same started all over again.

Dog food bags are filled then placed into the

cloth bag as Mama, BTP an Rocky are eating

their first breakfast. Second breakfast happened

at the spirit house. No monkey problems today !

Alright now I'll walk ya through this photo.............

The concrete road is the boundary line that

separates The Leroy Crews Turf from Mama

The Queen of The Jungle Crews Turf.

Many skirmishes have taken place right here.

To the far left is the yellow building where 2C

and The Kitty Cat lived with another monk.

It is surrounded by swamp. To the far right you

see some pink and green on The Dog Palace.

It too is surrounded by swamp. Directly behind

the monk is the entry to the north end of The DMZ.

Where I'm standing while taking this photo is on

The Leroy Crews Turf after leaving the Big Drum.

You've seem the Big Drum before cuz that's where

Leroy, GF and Tuff Guy were always fed breakfast.

After feeding The Hooligans this morning all of us

circled around to the Big Drum where a few more

photos were taken. Mama and Rocky had taken up

a defensive position on the boundary line as they

waited for me to return. Also sending a real serious

message to The Hooligans, which they understood !

Mr Kind Monk eats with the nuns then crosses the

cement walking bridge at the eastern side of the

DMZ. Then makes his way across Mamas Turf to

the boundary line where Mama and Rocky are at.

He always stops and gives them some extra loving .

From here he circles around the back side of The

Leroy Crews Turf which connects to another cement

walking bridge that crosses the swamp and into his

home. You've seen it before surrounded by real green

swamp water with a narrow raised walking bridge.

If you got lost not to worry, there's 2000 monkeys

here that will divert your attention and keep you

entertained and on your toes .. ;-)~

Did you think this photo is on tilt, it's not ? .............

It's after 1:PM in the afternoon and time for my

breakfast and a long nap.

3:12AM came to early so I went back to bed.

6:17AM and my eyes are once again wide open.

No# 1 is already up and fussing with lucky duck.

So I too started rotating the dogs and packing up

stuff we will need out at the temple. Extra meds 4

the dogs and duck eggs for the nuns. At the end

of the month they will still receive their injections.

Our ride showed up 23 minutes early so we left.

First stop is with Ms Molly and Mr Blondie who

were out of their minds excited to see us ;-)-

Poking, jumping, yodeling, dancing and

a whole bunch of other real silly stuff 2.

Their water was changed to fresh water

and as you can see here hot-dogs and

kibble are laid out for them to feast on.

Plus they were given a large dose of loving.

From here we wandered on over to the nuns.

All the dogs lost their minds, especially Yo-Yo ;-)

As you all know Yo-Yo is Rockys jailbait girlfriend.

She's a mass of wiggling fur with a big tongue ;-0

And now she's an even bigger mass of wiggling

fur with a giant slobbering tongue attached ;-0

What I find quite funny is when Little Stubby

takes off after her being all bossy yapping

like a small can of, "I'll whoop your ass."

Yo-Yo just out maneuvers her laughing.

Both of us are well worn-out.

Noon time, nap time for us.

Catch ya on the rebound.
