I took this on a rainy day across the street in front of the neighbour's house. They always have lavender growing there, but it hasn't been kept up, so the weeds and grasses grow wild. I loved the way the raindrops clung to the seeded grass with the lavender mixing in.

Probably not the sharpest red kite you'll see today, but what a joy to see it circling our garden this morning!
