I was lucky enough to have Marc Adamus take me along to this incredible spot. We were bummed at first, the sky was overcast and we thought we might not get a good show. Then after sunset the sky became pretty wild, and we made the most of it. Thanks again Marc!

Welcome to Lake Pukake, just before the clouds rolled in to tell us it's time for bed. New Zealand has an incredible amount of beautiful scenery, makes you feel like you are in a living dream.
Captured on the very impressive Samyang 14mm XP ƒ2.4 lens, at ƒ2.4! I never shoot wide open, but this lens lends itself to being used for the light absorbing monster that it is!

"E' stato bellissimo realizzare questo scatto...
perche' a ridosso della dead line.. non avevo una modella.
Casualmente entro in contatto con ALice la sera prima... e di mattina mi viene l'idea di chiamarla.. per chiederle se fosse libera il giorno successivo; che avevo da proporle un progetto e mi serviva un favore.
Lei e' stata fantastica, perche' nonostante lo sbattimento ha preso la cosa con entusiasmo e si e' procurata i vestiti... fra l'altro, essendo anche truccatrice, e' venuta in stazione con il make-up gia' realizzato sul viso.
Io mi sono trasportata con i mezzi pubblici quell'affare pesantissimo... che spezza davvero la schiena!!!
e.. nella mia testa c'era quest'immagine, davanti alla scalamobile della stazione appena ristrutturata.
Come previsto... siamo arrivate ai piedi della scalamobile.. e subito siamo state approcciate da una guardia.
L'abbiamo rassicurata dicendo che stavamo realizzando degli scatti per studio...
Ho fatto qualche prova.. per calibrare le dominanti.. ed avere una colorazione il piu' neutro possibile e poi ho chiesto ad Alice di mettersi in posa.. ma non sapevamo ancora bene esattamente come.
Faccio una ventina di scatti.. ed arriva la guardia piu' grossa (un energumeno.. alto ed enorme!)
che ci ribadisce che la' non possiamo stare.. al che...
guardo Alice e dico: "vabbe' ok, abbiamo finito!"
Insomma... questo scatto ha richiesto una decina di minuti...
piu' che altro.. un sacco di fatica nel trasportare quell'arnese e tante risate (:
E poi... sono felice del risultato. Mi piace.

Alpenglow on Cathedral Peak 3326 m/Tuolumne Meadows/Yosemite/USA.
I took Cathedral Peak on my Yosemite/Needles-Climbing-Roadtrip back in 2009 with a boring sky. PS blending in another sky. So don't take it to serious :) Light on the mountain is original.

About Betchadupa
Lucid Dream is a song by New Zealand band Betchadupa.
Betchadupa is a New Zealand pop/rock group. Formed in 1997, in Auckland, the band features Liam Finn, son of Neil Finn, of Crowded House and Split Enz and Matt Eccles, son of Brent Eccles (previously a member of The Angels and Citizen Band).
Betchadupa (originally called Lazy Boy - the name change followed threatened legal action from the chair company of the same name) had its origins when Liam and Matt met whilst their families were on holidays in New Zealand. Their first song, written when both boys were 11, was called 'Gee This Sounds Good, I Can't Believe We Wrote It'.
Their unique name was lifted from the text of a polish-American's t-shirt that declared "Betchadupa I'm Polish", dupa being the Polish word for arse.
