This was at Lucayan National Park. We walked quite a ways to the beach. For me it was the most beautiful of all beaches we saw. Xanadu had the 2nd most beautiful beach.
Preachers Cave was discovered by Captain William Sayles in 1600s due to a shipwreck near Ridley’s Head towards the north. The cave was location for sermons for 100 years. An archaeological dig led by Chief Archaeologist Bob Carr discovered remains of a Lucayan Indian and a 350 year old Eleutheran Adventurer. www.eleuthera-map.com/preachers-cave.htm
Truly a treat for nature lovers! Go on a tour and see the Lucayan National Park, which is the home to Ben's Cave - the longest, underwater surveyed cave system leading to the ocean. Across the street is Gold Rock Creek housing the five ecosystems of Grand Bahama.
