A Meridian Southern Railway Freight Train heads back to Meridian, MS. from Waynesboro, MS. as they pass through Stonewall, MS.
The only shot I ever got of one of LS&I's RS3's was at the old Presque Isle engine terminal in Marquette in October 1976.
Today's OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane high sun, silver box, gravel pile, wirey wedgie, NS #167 at South Wye (Faulkner Road) on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

This was shortly after the low-cost 'Harrow Buses' had started up. Clearly they were short of double-deckers.
Until I saw these pictures I never knew that a single-decker had ever worked on the 140!
Picture of a Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Caboose @ Hillsdale, Michigan 1902. Looks like guiet the collection of people in the photo. looks to be a Conductor in the front left. some appear to be laborer's and others appear to be train crews. Other could be from the roundhouse.. only speculation unless someone else knows of this photo.. It has some nice detail to it and a look back 115 years ago. Not sure where the photo is from but it also mentions that 1 of the persons is the GG Grandfather of whom the photo came from. I thought it was worth sharing...
