Inspired by Jan's far superior photo: texting man, two mailboxes and a plywood wall
I saw Little Ringed Plovers for the first time, last year and managed a couple of shots. I thought today that I'd go back, hoping I might see some Dragonflies or Butterflies [no luck]. The birds were very shy but by moving carefully and showing them I was not a threat, I was able to approach to get a decent shot or two. I thought this was better composition.
I visited the Little ringed Plovers and tried for reflections again. It was quite amusing to watch these tiny birds defending their territory, chasing off Blackbirds and I think a Redshank. Little bird syndrome in action. I was about as low as I could get but think this shot needed to be from ground level, to separate the bird from its setting and balance out the composition, a nice idea though!
