Yesterday we took the dogs to the beach for a swim ... hmmm I should’ve checked the tide charts first. LOL! We still had a lovely walk around the park on this gorgeous sunny and breezy day.

The far-off shores swim blue and indistinct,
Like half-lost memories of some old dream.
The listless waves that catch each sunny gleam
Are idling up the waterways land-linked,
And, yellowing along the harbour's breast,
The light is leaping shoreward from the west.

Sunrise on the Hudson River at low tide. Fall colors are very late this year. You'll notice the tree to the right has very few leaves changed to red. Just been a weird year.
We visited here recently for a sunset, but we only had a small showing. So made use of the time for some other, err Green Shots !! ;-))
Many thanks to all who visit here.
This was taken around midday and, as such, only a smaller arc of the rainbow was visible so it appears low to the ground. Rainbows look higher when the sun is lower. Conversely if I'd been higher, the rainbow would have appeared taller (more of the arc being visible).
I had to look all this up as I was concerned a low bow would mean the pot of gold was buried deeper.
So this is the south side of the Dutch Island Terschelling. A co-incidence that it was low tide where neat small islands popped up. The atmosphere with no wind and high temperatures made it a great summer feel. The next day I biked up here with my family, all was covered with seawater. Thanks all for your comments and favs

A large tidal pool left behind on Barassie Beach just pulled me in for this shot of the distant Isle of Arran and crepuscular rays from the edge of a storm cell as the sun was receding towards the horizon.
I don't even care about the completely blown out main highlight in the frame knowing that this scene is just one mile from my new home. I can return, anytime and in any weather. There is a deep sense of peace in that. If you look closely in my previous scene from this sunset you can see the very slight outflow from this tidal pool. It will give a sense of scale, the beach is much deeper than it looks.
Ever since I moved to Scotland 11 years ago I have always been drawn to this stretch of coastline - time and time again. Enjoy.
Imagine you are on a dream beach in the summer and have it alone for you...
Reminiscent of the Caribbean, a manless sandy beach on the Isle of Harris, outer Hebrides.
Stell dir vor, du bist im Sommer an einem Traumstrand und hast ihn für dich allein....
An die Karibik erinnernder menschenleerer Sandstand auf der Insel Harris, äußere Hebriden.
