This is a lower back piece I did for a girl. She liked my design. One of my own personal designs. Will do custom for people, no problem.

This is my first (and currently only) tattoo... Obviously located on my lower back. This one has been gone over twice now... It needs it one more time to re-darken it.

I have two (or three) more planned...

Low back pain causes more disability than nearly 300 other conditions worldwide, according to new research, and nearly one in 10 people across the globe suffers from an aching lower back. How about you? Do you suffer from the back pain? What do YOU do about it?

Doctors and leading scientists in the field advise us to stay active, go to the gym, walk as much as possible etc. But how about that time of the day when you have to work at the office and sit long hours?

There is only one solution - SpinaliS chairs for active sitting! Active sitting means you are sitting, but you are stabilizing your torso the entire time. Check out SpinaliS Navigator Series Chairs, which are great for slim and tall people, especially over 6'3"

"Low back pain is something that almost all people experience at some point in their lives. It is something common across sexes, age groups, countries, socioeconomic groups, education levels and occupation," said the lead author of the first study, Damian Hoy, a senior research fellow at the University of Queensland's School of Population Health, in Australia.

Research shows that 40% of people become less active after back pain strikes â a strategy that's likely to delay healing or even make their condition worse. Try SpinaliS chairs and don't look back!

You know you've had a good summer when you have a nice tan to prove it. ;)

School starts up on August 29th. I'm considering this week as my last week of summer because next week is filled with lots of meetings with professors, GSPH Student Council activities, errands and preparation for the school year.

In summary, I've really enjoyed my summer. This was a first summer (in a long time) that I felt super relaxed. I enjoyed my time hanging out, traveling (for my cousin's wedding in MN), hitting the beach, seeing friends and family. With all that relaxation time, I also managed to stay relatively busy! I continued my internship and volunteered with San Diego Coastkeeper, moved from an apartment to a condo, took bartending classes, and tutored an excel session.

The best part was getting in as much beach and outdoor activity time as possible. Sunshine makes me happy! I haven't been this tan since, probably Santa Barbara! Don't worry, I applied sunblock every time I went out. Except this one time, I missed a few spots and got sunburnt. Oops.

Anyway, hope everyone else had a good summer!

Next week will be my last installment for my very first 52 week project! I can't believe it. Art and I are brainstorming new ideas for another project (we're hooked on photo projects because it really brings out your creativity and challenges you). Let me know if you're interested!

Please keep any unnecessary comments to yourself. Thanks.

Taken waaayy back when -- 20 lbs ago, before G, & during my first year in college @ San Francisco State University.

I had the artwork done in Berkeley, CA and paid too much money for it now that I think about it. But oh well, I still love it and went back there 2 years later to get tattoed on the back of my neck. Pictures of that is unavailable. The only way you'll ever see that tattoo is in person. No, it's not expletive/offensive, just highly sentimental.
