This is one of many murals by noted contemporary artists that brighten the walls of the Detroit Eastern Market neighborhood.
Entitled "The Soundtrack (To My Life)", it was created by Luke Chueh in 2015. Chueh, a pop surrealist is sometimes described as combining cuteness with the macabre. This image, originally a painting with many sold-out print editions, is considered by many people to be one of his best works.

My own tombstone
Throughout my existence, I wandered, leaving behind fragments of myself in the dust of forgotten ages and uncertain futures. Each step brought me closer to the echoes of the past, a ghost in the annals of history.
But as I traversed the winding corridors of time, I stumbled upon a tombstone shrouded in mystery. Its walls bore ancient runes, a cryptic testament to lives long gone and memories lost to the sands of time.
In those inscriptions, I found echoes of my own existence, whispers of lives lived and loves lost. Faces blurred by the passage of centuries stared back at me, their voices a haunting melody in the silence of the tomb.
And as I traced my fingers along the weathered stone, I remembered that in the vast tapestry of life, my own thread had been woven countless times before. Forgotten by the world but immortalized in every tombstone and grave where I hid my trace.
