Great Falls National Park is a great place to go visit and unwind. You can watch the Potomac River flow through this beautiful rocky terrain.
This was shot from the trail. Normally I go to the bottom of the fall and shoot but my kids were a bit chilly that day & we hurried back to the car. There's something about this shot that I love. I can't put my finger on it, tho.
Conquered Old Rag Mountain this morning. I did this hike last Spring and it was nice seeing it during winter time. As a celebration of Virginia's travelers and a love for adventure, the Norfolk International Airport has constructeda giant LOVEwork to resemble different types of luggage, located next to the first luggage return carousel. The "L" is a rollaway bag, the "O" a shipping crate, the "V" a traditional trunk with stickers showcasing a variety of destinations and the "E" representing a briefcase for business travelers.
The LOVE theme highlights Virginia and Norfolk International Airport's love for travel and ability to reconnect families and friends, reminding travelers that the Virginia is for Lovers brand promotes a love for family vacations and lasting memories.
Visitors are encouraged to take photos with the LOVEworks and share with loved ones on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/VirginiaisforLovers or on Twitter with the special hashtag #LOVEVA.

Discovered this towering cliff during my waterfall chase and I couldn't help but to stop and take a picture. All I could hear was the sound of crackling, melting ice. This was the loudest I have ever heard ice make noise before and I was completely fascinated with the ice formation π
