11:52Something I love
Oh geez. This was actually a whole lot harder than it seems. There is so much and so many that I love :)
But I have narrowed it down to what is represented in this image:
1- I love to travel
2- I love Mexico
3- I love colour
4- I love collages
Apologies in advance as I have many more of these collages. This is the first image of the first series and feature doors and windows of El Quelite. See image in first comment for info on El Quelite.

- I love the adrenaline of shooting something that could possibly take my life away for example last night @ royal palms, san pedro, ca - 30 second exposure almost washed me off the rocks, but I still managed to get my shot!
- I could never work a 9-5 which lead me into photography, and one day owing my own gallery. In the meantime I do everything from weddings to real estate, trying to sell fine-art prints or canvas on the side

Iguana in Nayarit state, about 2 and 1/2 hours north of Puerto Vallarta at Punta Custodio. A very very beautiful area next to a bird sanctuary and a 10 mile tortuga beach. And who doesn't love Mexican food?.........I know I know, it tastes like chicken. Evidently influx of Mexican natives from southern states in areas that they do eat these 'chicken of the trees' have markedly reduced the population in the PV area. Sad as they can be very colorful and beautiful.
This vegetarian was very cooperative and still for several shots with a mild telephoto. One of the brighter green patterns than others I have seen. Blow up the image to appreciate the sharpness of this hand held, very cheap Nikon lens!

Going through some of my old photos, and working and reworking them. I love this still life. It is one of the first works I created using off camera flash. I love food photography. I just love food. I love cooking and eating. I really love Mexican, and Southwest food. The chilies onion and the citrus. So much flavor. I love the contrasting light of this image. I love how the light goes through the bottle and gives an nice amber quality to the image.
The bees absolutely love Mexican Sunflowers, and never seem to mind my intruding on their meal.

"in the end
All you can hope for
Is the love you felt
To equal the pain
You've gone through
Bones
Starved in flesh
Surround your
Aching heart
Full of love"

We were sitting eating at Balam's fish stand in my old 'hood' in Puerto Vallarta when this caballero stopped to say 'hola'.
Gotta' love Mexico where the old and the modern still cross paths on a regular basis.
MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS A TODOS POR SU ATENCION!!
THANKS VERY MUCH EVERYONE FOR YOUR ATTENTION!!!
The independence of my country today is celebrated: Mexico.
But we are living an irony because today there is no independence to celebrate, voluntary and involuntarily we are captives of a political regime that is far from the one of an independent country, we have an economic and social system that put in floor our acclaimed freedom in almost every way. I do not want to be confused or misunderstand my words: I love Mexico more than any other place in the whole world. And I celebrate every day. I love its countless natural wonders, the charming villages, the modernity in the cities, the art in all expressions, the food... i¡m not a person of traditions but i do love to see how other people does, how they embrace that and how traditions and customs are their lifestyle, i like culture in general; I love the smiles, dreams and hope for better things I see on the faces of the people and that's exactly why I'm writing this ... We are contaminated of injustice, inequality and mistreatment of our people.
I'm not against the celebration for our country, i'm just saying we should have real motives to do it...
And today more than ever we don't have any motive to celebrate, but there's a lot of reasons to fight for our rights and welfare in a peaceful way but steadily, strongly but without violence, to achieve retain what years ago has been given to us and we've been losing over the course of the years: Freedom.
I love Mexican and South American culture. The colors and patterns blow me away. I was on a Mexican folk art site and got all reinspired. This is the result. I had an old desk from my mother's childhood that was falling apart and so before throwing it out, I kept the drawers and put them in my "gotta paint on that" someday pile. It's been over a year and this skull guy seemed perfect for the distressed wood drawer. Now I want to do more of these.
