Alright guys, I've realised that I haven't shot any landscapes in a LONG time... and I love landscapes just as much as cityscapes. I just don't get many chances for it. So I headed down to Cleveland this morning for a sunrise.
It's really something special seeing the sun rise from the water, even if it is behind clouds. The light during that time is, in my opinion, the most beautiful.

El meandro Melero, formado por el río Alagón, se encuentra próximo a la localidad de Riomalo de Abajo, en el límite oriental de la comarca de Las Hurdes (Cáceres).
En las inmediaciones de mismo es posible realizar diversas actividades de naturaleza, tales como senderismo, la observación de aves, descenso en canoa, rutas en catamarán, pesca, etc.
The Melero meander, formed by the Alagón river, is located near the town of Riomalo de Abajo, on the eastern border of the region of Las Hurdes (Cáceres).
In the immediate vicinity it is possible to carry out various nature activities, such as hiking, bird watching, canoeing, catamaran trails, fishing, etc.

Giovanni decise che la figlia maggiore, pur continuando gli studi, si sarebbe presa cura della loro abitazione, al castello ...
per Olimpia, la secondogenita di 10 anni, iniziò il calvario degli Istituti retti da religiose ...
dapprima a Roma, poi nella vicina Rossano ...rivedeva il padre e la sorella solo durante l'estate, quando finalmente poteva tornare a Mirto ...
qui, insieme, trascorrevano alcune giornate al mare ...
Già nel 1957 Olimpia aveva avuto modo di notare un bel ragazzo, alto, bello e benvestito, che (addirittura!) si spostava tra i vari paesi della zona a bordo di una jeep ...
scoprì che quell'uomo era il responsabile di zona dell'Opera Valorizzazione Sila (*) ...
anche lui, da tempo, aveva adocchiato quella bellissima ragazza, crucciandosi però per la grande differenza di età che sembrava separarli (Giuseppe è del 1927, Olimpia del 1942) ...
il 23 agosto del 1959, al mare, Giuseppe però ruppe gli indugi e ... in un momento di "allentata vigilanza" lanciò nei pressi delle gambe di Olimpia una pietra a forma di cuore su cui aveva scritto "sei bella" ...
si sposarono nel 1962 ...
non prima ... il nonno Giovanni pretese che Olimpia terminasse gli studi ...
dal matrimonio, che dura da più di cinquant'anni, sono nati Antonio, Giovanni Francesco e Luca ...
ma questa è un'altra storia.
* Nel maggio 1950, in Italia venne promulgata la legge della Riforma Agraria. La Riforma prevedeva l'esproprio di migliaia di ettari di terreno da distribuire gratuitamente ai braccianti agricoli privi di fondi e di mezzi finanziari.
La Riforma Fondiaria fu affidata in Calabria all'O.V.S. (Opera Valorizzazione Sila) un ente costituito nel 1947.
In meno di tre anni l’OVS espropriò a latifondisti disinteressati più di 75.000 ettari ridistribuendo la terra a 12.000 famiglie; a queste furono assegnati non un nudo pezzo di terra, ma un podere dotato di pozzo e di una piccola casa colonica.
As some of you know or suspect, I love landscapes with unusual rock formations.
Years ago, I searched for the Blue Canyon in Arizona and found it by chance near Tuba City.
At the end of 2016 I wanted to go back and got stuck in the mud on the dirt road. Navajos helped me pull the SUV out of the mud and explained that it was not allowed to visit or take a photo of the Blue Canyon ???

The sensational drive from the local town of Moab in Utah, up the slithering roadways surrounded by seering rock faces, to Arches National Park.
Incredible beauty and steepness of the terrain, are just the entree to what is a wonderful experience up top and beyond.
If you haven't been, & you love landscapes and photography, then this place is for you. One hell of a place!!
