inspired by all the crazy thunder and lightning we've been having recently. I don't think there are many things better than listening to thunderstorms echoing off the mountains. I love the sun but there's something about those crazy storms that make summer even better.
I felt that my photostream has been a little....desaturated lately and needed a bit of a colour boost to break the mood.
TOTW: Handmade Props: the bolt of lightning was made from a piece of posterboard and then I added some PS effects to it.

The Sari Shop, the debut novel of Rupa Bajwa, gives a strong portrayal of the vast inequities between the rich and the poor working class in India. Bajwa gives a gratifying glimpse into the daily life of Ramchand, a sari shop assistant. She also brings us into the relationships between the shop assistants; Gokul, Chander, Shyam, Rajeshi and Hari, their supervisor Mahajan, and the wealthy women on the other side of the counter.
This is a journey into an intoxicating rich life of color and silks. I loved the description of the Sari shop itself. We step in from the noise, heat, dust and charged interactions in the street to the cool, dark interiors of the shop packed with crisp Bangladeshi Cottons, dazzling Kajeevarams, Benaras Silks, Chiffons, Crepes and Satins, from shelf to shelf.
The author gives a good insight on the extremes of Indian society. Though some people may find it depressing, that's the reality and Ms. Bajwa tackles the issues boldly and illustrates the helplessness of a Sari shop assistant. A quick read, The Sari Shop, nevertheless provokes a deeper reflection on the ties that bind us all to the life we know :)

I couldn't think of another title. My best friend bought her this book called "Little Hands Love" and it's one of her favorites. This shot reminded me of the book for some reason. These little hands loveeeeeeeeee to steal people's flowers when we go for walks around the neighborhood. Watch out! Next time you see an innocent little toddler by your garden, she might be plotting to steal your flowers! lol

I received the package yesterday , and i was really excited since it was my very first swap .
I loveeeeeeeeee everything that she sended to me , she is so sweet :D .
Everything was so well packaged with the bubble warping and i loveeeeeeeeeed the letter , because is so much fun getting a letter from another person that i only know in the internet , it feels even more real . *don't know if you get it x.x not good at explaining*
And thank you sooo much for the origami you made :3 i was really happy.

Nosferatu is an original creation made from upcycled and vintage fabric. He is 30cm tall or 12'' and is snuggly soft. He has special vintage leather button eyes that we got in our many antique shop jaunts...love those!!His features are hand embroidered and appliqued on.
He would look great sitting on your sofa...in your car...or on your office desk....you know those days when you want to be a little vampire yourself!!
I am a New Zealand Doll and Bear maker...I create wild, whimsy and madness in my little studio located in our old 18 century farm /farmhouse. in the high country on a working sheep station!!! Truly!!!..I have been making dolls and critters from the time I was a child scrouging bits of fabric and stuffing from my mother's sewing basket! I now create full time and love it!!! My world is shared with many animals and even a goat or chicken sitting by my sewing machine when I work....

Just got my new D90 and I loveeeeeeeeee it. Headed up to Baw Baw for the DH MTB on the weekend and this is the first shot with the D90 that I'm happy with and probably the first sports orientated shots I've really taken.
Looking forward to hopefully getting some goods shots in the not too distant future!

I've been having trouble focusing with my tripod lately, but i think i finally have the hang of it ! Lately old movies have been my obsession, no wait a second (they've always been my obsession) ! But anywho, if you havent seen the apartment, or the seven year itch - you HAVE TO BE CRAZY!
