Viele kennen diesen so charakteristischen Blick von Hohe Düne über den Rostocker Seekanal auf das Seebad Warnemünde. Hier am Kai der Mittelmole liegen oftmals auch interessante Schiffe. Le Dar Młodzieży est un voilier de type trois-mâts carré en acier battant pavillon polonais. Son port d'attache est Gdynia. C'est un des plus beaux voiliers de l'Armada... Et un de mes "chouchous". Je l'ai visité à nouveau.

Le Loth Loriën est un trois-mâts goélette qui a subi une importante rénovation pour devenir un luxueux voilier de croisière.
La sculpture "La Leçon" est installée au 880 rue Sherbrooke O, Montréal, à l’angle de McGill College, à Montréal, province du Québec, Canada.
Avec son l'ordinateur portable à l'effigie d'une poire parodiant la marque Apple, ses pieds entourés de fast-food et son lacet défait, la sculpture en bronze intitulée "La Leçon" est une parodie amusante de la vie étudiante. Elle est l'œuvre de l'artiste Cédric Loth, également directeur artistique et dessinateur.
La sculpture est truffée de petites blagues, du logo en forme de poire à l'écureuil qui pique un pain à hamburger en passant par la tête échevelée de l'étudiant en détresse. Comme si sa journée ne pouvait pas être pire, la fenêtre de son navigateur affiche la nouvelle : « Steve Jobs est mort !».
Placer une telle caricature devant l'entrée de l'une des universités les plus prestigieuses du Canada pourrait être perçu comme une provocation. D’ailleurs, depuis son inauguration en 2012, la statue a parfois été la cible de vandales. Quelqu'un a tenté de lui scier un doigt, et la fenêtre de son navigateur a même été remplacée par un message d'erreur avertissant : « Trop de temps passé sur les réseaux sociaux !».
Avec son minuscule pavé tactile et sa multitude de ports, l'ordinateur portable de l'étudiant paraît déjà un peu désuet. On peut se demander comment cet énergumène de bronze débraillé sera perçu dans cent ans ??

This sailingship is a thre-masted-barquentine which was built 1907 in Norway.
The road over the bridge is the very busy A12 trunk road which is also the main north - south artery through the town centre.
The cranes in the background are on the outer harbour and beyond them is the North Sea. Behind me, Lake Lothing, as this waterway is known, continues westwards for a couple of miles, lined with formerly busy docks and quaysides, many but not all, now empty, or being converted to sprawling retail parks.
At the far end of Lake Lothing lies Oulton Broad, separated by a lock, keeping fresh and saltwater apart. There is also another lifting bridge at Oulton Broad.

I have wanted to build Lothal ever since I started watching Rebels on Disney +. It's certainly not the Clone Wars, but it's a very good show none the less.
Like with most of my builds, this isn't based off of any scene in particular. I am quite happy with this one, though I would have made the building a little different if I had more of the rounded edge pieces.

On the far left of the picture, the Oulton Broad to Lowestoft Ferry is edging into the scene, giving the Crew & passengers an excellent view of the train running across the Swing Bridge.
The Ferry Boat is the M.V. Terrier and it has just left the Oulton Broad embarking Quay.
Construction of the new Gull Wing bridge by Farrans, Lowestoft’s third crossing over Lake Lothing and the inner harbour, funded by Suffolk County Council, completion due 2023.
She is at Lothal, the site of the late Indus Valley Civilisation which proudly hosted the worlds first known dock, trade with Egypt and Mesopotamia, covered drains, burial grounds, toys and ornaments...the list goes on.
The golden past leaves a trail for modern human to walk in their shoes... and take the next step...4500 years and counting...

Hey again!
Here's a little something I wipped up last night and this morning. Not much going on here, I just wanted to try a technique I came up with for grass. Verdict: it looks great, but is a pain to do. I didn't have anything catastrophic happen to me while placing them (they aren't connected to anything), but it was tedious and some pesky pins kept rolling around and knocking others over.
If you didn't know, this is a scene from the first season of Star Wars: Rebels. The second best SW show ever. Come at me Mandalorian fans.
The only thing I'm not really sure about with this MOC is the Loth-cat. I don't have any of those tooth plates in colors other than white, black, or tan. I didn't use tan for obvious reasons. I suppose black could've worked. But I went with white, even though the white Loth-cat didn't appear until season 4. I know it's not a big deal, but it's inaccurate and that bugs me.
