The third highest peak in Wales at 1,044 m (3,425 ft), named after Dafydd ap Gruffydd (11 July 1238 – 3 October 1283) the last native Prince of Wales before the conquest of Wales by Edward I in 1283.

Yr Wyddfa on the Rhyd Ddu path, this is one of my favorite routes on what can be a busy mountain, from this side you get much less foot traffic and also some fantastic views.
It was also the first I did so holds a place in my heart

Tryfan viewed from the north east, I love this part of the Glyderau, the colours of all the heather is fantastic and makes a pleasant walk down from Bwlch Tryfan to the A5

Crib-y-Ddysgl
Most people cross Crib Goch from north to south and this will take you past this trig-point on the Snowdon Horseshoe route. However, the first time I went to it was from a small detour off the Ranger path. It can offer a great view south of Crib Goch as well as the rest of the Yr Wyddfa massif.

Bwlch Main on the Rhyd Ddu path, this was the first route I ever took to the summit of Yr Wyddfa, along with the Snowdon Ranger path these are my favorites routes to the summit.

Snowdon Ranger on the narrow gauge Welsh Highland Railway.
In my opinion if you want to hike up to the summit of Yr Wyddfa this is the easiest place to start.
