For Macro Monday - Look Up.

IR converted D610 with 720nm filter. Spider directly overhead - web stretched between two tree limbs. Working distance about 30 inches. Midday, bright sun.

I initially tried taking a macro shot of a sprinkler head - the camera, strobe light, and me were all significantly above the floor, and I called it quits before something untoward occurred. The working distance for the spider shot is a little excessive for macro work, but I chose not to stand on a ladder...

Leucauge argyra - the spider is no more than 1.25" in greatest dimension.
