So I had the wee small cleaning lady give it a shine. It was not looking good and I could not wait any longer.

... and long-ago times. I imagined walking in an old and abandoned palace garden on a tropical island :-)
While walking in our neighbourhood park, I took a photo with an open aperture for a shallow depth of field to create a dreamy impression and added a grungy filter to make it more mysterious.

In the morning the yellow sun was lighting up, here and there, the sleepy windows. I like to follow up and down the streets and think about the people who lived here long time ago. I enjoyed walking until my feet led me suddenly come to a dark corner. I got lost…. Where is my map? - Where are the sleepy windows?

Das Siemenshaus ist ein Fachwerkhaus in Goslar, an der Ecke Schreiber-/Bergstraße. Errichtet wurde es 1692/93 von dem Kaufmann und Stadthauptmann Hans Siemens. An der Haustür befindet sich in ornamentaler Holzschnitzerei der Leitspruch des Erbauers: ora et labora – bete und arbeite.
Die bereits 1384 erstmals urkundlich erwähnte Familie Siemens war von Ackerbürgern und angesehenen Handwerksmeistern, die in Goslarer Gilden leitende Stellungen einnahmen, Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts zu Kaufleuten, Gutspächtern und Bildungsbürgern aufgestiegen und stellte der Freien Reichsstadt vier Bürgermeister. Ein Zweig gründete 1847 das Weltunternehmen Siemens.
