British Airways G-XLEF Airbus A380-841 is pictured on finals into Los Angeles (LAX) as BA283 from London Heathrow
unlike the evening rush at JFK this line isn't moving at all!!
bunch of Dragonair/Cathay Dragon and HK Express Airbus A320s and A321s playing musical chairs at HKG/VHHH
Hong Kong Express A320 B-LCB, B-LCG, A320NEO B-LCP, and Cathay Pacific B777-300ER B-KQJ in long term storage at HKG/VHHH
soooo.....how's getting back to normal working out?!
this is the Midfield Terminal, aka the "Covid Lounge", where bull$hit atrocities are commited in the name a pseudo pandemic!!! This photo was taken 1.5 years into this idiocy; from what I hear things are much worse now, with even the motst loyal of sheep finally leaving.
It didn't have to be this way :(
Cathay Pacific Airways A350-900 B-LRT, B777-300ER B-KPR & B-KQF, among the many CX jets stored at HKG/VHHH
all in all it seems as though there's been a "net loss" in parked airliners (not yet sure if that's a good thing or not) ?!
all the neatly lined up HK Express A320s and A321s have been moved onto taxiway T mixed with a bunch of Cathay Dragon/Dragonair A320/1s
Cathay Dragon A330-300s B-LBI, B-LBF, B-LBK, B-HLW, B-LAA stored at HKIA after the airline was shut down cold-turkey!
most of the HK Express A320/A321 fleet has been sitting idle in this area, surrounded by now parent Cathay Pacific Airways Airbus and Boeing widebodies - the new normal becoming a "regular" sight!
how ironic is this registration?! QE (Quantitative Easing) - is this image a precursor to how all this money printing will end up??!!
found a couple of MAX hiding out in the night, trying not to catch the Corona Virus!!
I reckon if this LCC survives, and the MAX flies again, they'll be getting rid of the billboard titles under the name!!
Hong Kong Airlines A330-200/300s stored at HKG/VHHH with a Cathay Pacific A350-900 B-LRF thrown in the mix
(technically, there are two oddballs in there: behind the CX is a Beijing Capital Airlines A332)
alongside the stored Cathay Pacific/Dragon complement of widebodies, which by now have been flown to dryer locales!
wfu and stored Oct 2020, now back with Cathay Pacific;
that one behind is B-HLJ, which was the first A330 prototype, and has been since broken up, in Taipei out of all places!
this picture (although not great quality) sums up the current state of aviation affairs world wide: the cargo side seems bright, while it's all darkness for the pax airlines!!
