Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin

The church dates back to 1764-65, and was built by an unknown architect for Empress Elizabeth's chancellor, Count Alexei Bestuzhev-Ryumin, as a parish church for the village of serfs he had brought to St. Petersburg.

This image was photographed at the MaST Center Aquarium in Redondo Beach, Des Moines, WA.

My editing process was to create a soothing neutral toned image with pastel colors. A long exposure technique worked well with a soft pale blue sky.

I kept this image in my archive from February 2019, I wasn't sure is it good enough to show it online. I don't want to upload everything just to fill the space in the gallery. It was special moment in reality (it is not possible to catch the same feeling with camera), it was like a hell in the sky, I hope this photo is not boring. I took this image with new camera Fujifilm X-T3, I was experimented a lot and searching for different locations / ideas.

This is a view from Hill of Sv. Mihovil / St. Michael (263 meters) it is the second hill at the height of the island Ugljan in Croatia. I was inside old fortress of St. Michael. You can see beautiful view on island Iž. :o) Little history lesson: One year after the destruction of Zadar from the Crusader in the year 1203 Venetians build the fortress of St. Michael / Sv. Mihovil to control Zadar and to prevent reconstruction of city and to protect their ships and merchants. Citizens of city Zadar win the battle and took fortress from Venetians, the fortress was damaged and a Venetian crew were trapped. There is a plan to renew this fortress, I hope it will happened one day.

P.s. I recommend you 3 songs: Helloween - The Departed (Sun Is Going Down), Dio - Born on the sun, Bruce Dickinson - Navigate The Seas Of The Sun.
