Had a lot of different looks tonight as the sun went down. It started off with a beautiful blue sky and brite white clouds to yellows and orange and a finale with a fiery red horizon. This is somewhere in the middle...glad I stopped.
I really like how much is in this photo. All of the car lights mixed with the bridge, Ferris wheel, buildings, and shopping center. There are a lot of colors too, the sunset in the sky, blue Ferris wheel and of course the red and white car lights. The major lessons I learned from this was that it is hard to set up the shutter speed for long exposures. A little too much over or too much under ruins it. Now, I know how to set it up properly. Also, a big one is the 2 second timer. A lot of my photos earlier had a lot of shaking and movement in them, because I would press the button to take the picture and it would shake the camera on the tripod. The timer gives me time to back away, and for the tripod to be perfectly stable.
Warming in the sun the seal was trying not to get washed off the rock/bed it was lying on at Crystal Cove State Park.
Sitting having Coffee with friends and I looked up saw this moment and took the shot. This brings back memories of being with my father and the great times we had together.
Spent a few days at the Hyatt hotel in Long Beach for the Long Beach Comic-Con. I have to say... it's a pretty photogenic landscape around that hotel.
