As a Londoner the process of making photos a bit looks like this:

Step 1. The sun is out finally!

Step 2. Checking weather forecast.

Step 3. It won't rain in the next 2 hours.

Step 4. Let's go out!!

Londoners nicknamed it the "Wobbly Bridge" after pedestrians experienced an alarming swaying motion on its opening day. The bridge was closed later that day and, after two days of limited access, it was closed again for almost two years so that modifications and repairs could be made to keep the bridge stable and stop the swaying motion. It reopened in February 2002.

The bridge is located between Southwark Bridge and Blackfriars Railway Bridge. Its southern end is near the Globe Theatre, the Bankside Gallery, and Tate Modern, while its northern end is next to the City of London School below St Paul's Cathedral. The bridge's alignment is such that a clear view (i.e. a "terminating vista") of St Paul's south facade is presented from across the river, framed by the bridge supports.

Under the streets of London...

Most Londoners will know the bridge and recognise this support structure.

The Hungerford Bridge crosses the River Thames in London, and lies between Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge. It is a steel truss railway bridge – sometimes known as the Charing Cross Bridge – flanked by two more recent, cable-stayed, pedestrian bridges that share the railway bridge's foundation piers, and which are named the Golden Jubilee Bridges.

To Londoners who were around in the 'swinging sixties', the city has changed a lot. The shops, fashion, architecture - they've all evolved. But one legend of 1960s Soho who strutted around in dapper suits when Rock 'n' Roll was pulsing from pubs is providing a vital link to that era by carrying on doing what he's always done.

George Skeggs, AKA Soho George, is still right here after 60 years. At 80 years old the great grandfather is still out and about at the local cafes and bars decked out in his signature blue/grey checked suit, Bolero style hat and bowling shoes and just about everyone who passes by stops to congratulate him on his appearance.

Waiting for the big event

Londoners line both sides of the Thames to catch the Canada Day fireworks display as we celebrate 158 years as a nation!

Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

Construction began in 1998, and it initially opened on 10 June 2000.

The Millennium Bridge, officially known as the London Millennium Footbridge, is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the River Thames in London, England, linking Bankside with the City of London.

Despite what Londoners think it has the least number of skyscrapers of any major city in the world. There are only two areas with Canary Wharf above and central London having any.

Canary Wharf is a major business district located in Tower Hamlets, London. It is one of the UK's two main financial centres – along with the traditional City of London – and contains many of Europe's tallest buildings, including the second-tallest in Great Britain, One Canada Square.

Canary Wharf contains around 14,000,000 square feet (1,300,000 m2) of office and retail space, of which around 7,900,000 square feet (730,000 m2) is owned by Canary Wharf Group.
