At this gloomy time of year there has been some chat about using high ISO when its virtually or completely dark, so here is my offering.
Using 12800 ASA on my little Olympus with the excellent 25mm (50mm on 35mm) f1.2 lens, I captured 66312 on the 4L62 Ditton to Felixstowe last Thursday evening as the heavens opened at Salop Goods Junction.
My warmest thanks to John Illingworth and the LOM for allowing two visits last week to one of my favourite signal boxes which is due to close on Christmas eve

This building was planned for the now defunct Bilka department store chain (whose name is a contraction of “billig kaufen”, meaning “buy cheap”) by the famous architect Sep Ruf and finished in 1961. Its largely closed southwest façade (towards Friedrichsplatz) incorporates this columned balcony from the Red Palace which formerly stood there and was destroyed in World War II.
The building was modified in 1991 by architect Walter von Lom for the new owner, the Leffers clothing store chain (now merged with another chain to Sinn-Leffers), adding a new level on top, two emergency exits with shop windows in between, and modifying the main storefront (not visible in this photo).
The group figures standing on the balcony is titled “Die Fremden” (“The Strangers”). It was placed there on the occasion of Documenta 9 (1992) by artist Thomas Schütte. It was “designed as a monument against xenophobia”, “to oppose the violent movements against foreigners in Germany in the early nineties”.

This is my kit bashed house for the Elf Circle Relay For Life Art Gallery. KiVanyel left me a model, and copied it, sort of. I have never really done a build as big or important as this. I have done Burning Life, but the funny thing was I did it before I knew I couldn't, so it worked. Less is more. Not knowing is better than knowing. I’m going to Phoo Fhoi Lom for English Camp when I studied in second year. It made me happy and fun because I make any activities such as ; sing a song, play game with my friend. Especially, I take a photo with my friend I feel good . Normally I like taking a photo.
