Planted last year on a South East facing wall and now flourishing. It is has already clambering up over a logstore and is getting itself well attached to a trellis.

‘Wet & Dry”. And this was just the precursor to the main event! Storm Brendon is set to lash the UK today so I thought I best get out there now & take my 366 shot - It was OK though as I didn’t need to venture far because the log store by the back door conveyed exactly what I wanted. Tonights logs have been safely gathered in with cosy toes in mind:-) Hope you are all safe & cosy too, Alan:-)
366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)

‘Log-A-Log delivery’. So this was Jill & my workout for the morning - stack them quickly before the rain came. Both log burners now lit, Jills toasting her feet by her’s & watching TV & I’m toasting my feet by mine whilst listening to Naim Radio internet streaming to my Hi-Fi - it’s a tough old life:-)

I saw this log store at the permeant moorings at Hinksford Wharf on the Worcestershire & Staffordshire Canal while on my walk from Ashwood to Wombourne. There was so much texture and colour in such a small area ,it stood out as soon as i saw it.........Hinksford Wharf, Staffordshire England

I just painted it this morning. This is 3 meters long so a good bit bigger that the other 3 that I have. I'll have to get more wood to fill it. We got a wood burning stove in the spring so this will be its first winter - I am enjoying making sure that we have enough firewood.

Winter is here, instead of buying a ready-made log shed, you may prefer to build it out of pallets. A wood store will provide ideal storage for your firewood to keep them tidy, dry and well ventilated.
If you start this project, remember to build one large enough to store at least one full load of logs. Another advice is also to consider dividing your logs into two different sections - one for seasoned wood ready to use and the other one with wood that requires further seasoning.
Beside the pleasure to build it, you can easily save several hundred dollars/euros/etc... Since log sheds can be found in this price range. Using 1 to 30 pallets, depending on the size of your log shed, here are below the best inspirations we found, with the links to sources when possible.
