The iOS application part of the unused logo design concept for the rebranding of GoGoBot.
The logomark needed to work almost better as an application icon than a standalone logo design.
I really wanted to try and make the balloon almost bring the icon off the screen, trying to inspire you, through the idea of motion/movement, to click/press…
The logo redesign idea, and presentation had to be ready and put together in under 5 days. Almost set up to fail, but pretty pleased with the outcome, even if it wasn't used.
Goal: Develop a brand for the youth ministry of Word of Life in Sand Springs, OK, that doesn't look like the conventional youth ministry brand.
Audience: Youth (Grades 6-12)
Direction: Myself and my church's media director had sat down with our Associate/Youth Pastor at the time, and he discussed that we were getting the opportunity to redo everything. The only direction that was given, was to stick to the concept of that "The Depot is a place to be sent out from." So from there the project was pretty much given to me. The finished solution is visually simple but conceptually complex, so I won't bore you all with the entire concept. If you'd like to hear it, let me know in the comments.
Project: Logo design, identity system, print media, apparel, posters, slides, stickers, and I'm sure there is more but I'm forgetting.
Other important info: This photo is an experiment with a badly made template of the front of The Depot building that was provided when it had been "rebranded" over a year ago (it was awful, some of us, especially now that we've gotten to redo it, called it Depot Daycare).
The symbol on the far right, is one of our church's icons.
