We had dinner and breakfast there. Really good food.

Aftermath of logging. Tolangi stater forest.

The setting sun was very nice, though it kind of came from the wrong direction for truly nice photos.

This morning in the park the damaged tree from yesterday has been reduced to very large logs and wood chips....how sad...

Hauge Log Church, Dane County, Wisconsin

The ancient treasure chest in St Benedict's church, Horning

The Old Log Church, built in 1806, was the first church built by the early settlers of Schellsburg, PA in Bedford County right off the Lincoln Highway. The church is two stories high, it has galleries on three sides and a wine glass pulpit. There are markers of veterans of the Revolutionary War, the Mexican War, and the Civil War. The first burial took place in 1806.

This is not in B and W but as I found it. I love the old axe marks in the log timbers.

Hemlock Draw State Natural Area, Wisconsin. Not quite sure what's going on here, but I love the patterns.

That's it. Just logs.

Only on some parts of the log. We couldn't figure out why.

A wood stack in austria mariapfarr

Fallen log looking a bit like a dog's head. Note that the usual tiny stream to the right has been joined by a new stream, on what doubles as the footpath!

One of the many logging roads that cut through this area. I liked the shadows on the road.
