I made a wonky log cabin quilt with Sumo Wrestler fabric. This is a birthday gift for my father.

Yes its a log, and yes it is wearing underpants. This is the image at normal and 400% size for detail. Log in pants was created by Fungi.

One of the nation's premiere log flumes, built by Hopkins Rides in 1992. Unfortunately on this day the ride was closed for refurbishment.

A strange log wall on the walk back from seeing the snow monkeys

A log rests in the water in which it's level should be so much higher than it is right now. A month ago, there is no way I could be standing where I am standing for this photo.

This fallen, decaying tree still demanded attention along the river bank in a most graceful manner.

The first two trees they got 3 logs out of each. Two of them being veneer logs, the other 4 will make nice boards with knots in them. The third tree made a 12 foot log that will be used for lumber as the tops of the other trees will be used as. Of the 7 Walnut trees cut on the neighbors place, they only got two veneer logs. Its hard to part with a good tree like they were but like a stock of corn, if you don’t harvest it when it is ready, you loose it like I was loosing the third tree and have lost several other walnut trees on the place here.

Ever wonder what it takes to build a log house. These are pictures of the entire construction of our house from October 2006 to Nov 2007. It might take me a few days to put them all up, so if you're looking at these as I am posting them, check back for the rest.

I'll add these all to me log home set, so it might be easier to click that set to the right and go from there (I'll try to get them in order the best I can).

If you have any questions about the construction, feel free to ask. I was there pretty much everday and then I was there everyday after I fired our general contractor and had to finish his work myself.

Feel free to leave comments.

On our last day at Lake Easton RV Resort along I-90 in Washington, we went walking in Lake Easton State Park, which is right next door. When we first got there, the reflections were fantastic!!! (11-09-11-3756)

A logging bee involving Wm Pickering, Snell, Stevenson and Morrison men. Donald Snell is the child on the log next to the saw, which dates the picture about 1902 if he was 4.

We decided to use log for this picture because we noticed that the stem on the plant curved down which was perfect for logs. We used "a" "b" and "c" in this equation to control the curve and how big it is.
