De naam Ringersbrug is afkomstig van nabijgelegen voormalige chocoladefabriek van Ringers. De loopbrug van het centrum naar de Overstad is een ontwerp van architect Lody Trap uit 1997. Lody Trap is mededirecteur van Noordwestzes architecten en ontwerpers dat gevestigd is in de watertoren van Alkmaar.

And yes...I do. One of my all time favorite things about life here in Poland is the appreciation for ice cream. And it is deep. Everyone loves LODY! Because it signifies the celebration of the spring and summer months, longer, warmer days, long walks at a slower pace and the sense of being outdoors and together with friends, family and loved ones. We all have our favorite places and mine has been this little place since day one. Today I walked away with a lovely bouquet of Jagoda (Blueberry), Oreo and Marscarpone with Czarna Porzka. :D Lately, there is always a line....which makes me so happy to see because it only verifies what I already know. Stand in the line and be rewarded with deliciousness....you will probably see me there.

Some nice shade on the main square in Psinthos. We stayed there for a while and then we continued our ride around the island :)
Psinthos is a classic Greek small village. The tavernas here are uncompromisingly Greek, with an emphasis on grilled meat. Life centers round the village square where you can see quite a lot of people just sitting back and, to use a well known phrase, "watching the world go by". Psinthos is famous as the site of the last battle between the Turks and Italians in 1912.

Drzewko oliwne na rynku w Psinthos, gdzie zatrzymaliśmy się na chwilę, zjedliśmy lody, po czym ruszyliśmy dalej na przejażdżkę po wyspie :)
Psinthos to klasyczna górska, rodyjska wioska, z centralnie usytuowanym dużym placem. Otaczają go tawerny i sklepiki, a przy jednym z boków stoi kościół pod wezwaniem Najświętszej Marii Panny. Wioska słynie ze swojego miodu, który można kupić od miejscowych producentów, zaś w miejscowych tawernach można spróbować tradycyjnego greckiego jedzenia. Psinthos znane jest jako miejsce ostatniej bitwy między Turkami i Włochami w 1912r.
From the old town we walked to the waterfront promenade and I was simply amazed of it's beauty :)
The Riva, Split's seafront promenade, runs the length of the old town and is one of Europe's finest. The views across the harbour to the islands beyond are simply magnificent. It's one of the favorite meeting places for both, tourists and locals. You can relax here in the shade of umbrellas and palm trees. In the nearby cafes or restaurants you can find aromatic coffee or delicious ice cream.

Ze starówki wyszliśmy na nadmorski deptak, który zachwycił mnie swoją urodą :)
Promenada Riva, ulubione miejsce turystów i mieszkańców Splitu. Ta niezwykle charakterystyczna dla Splitu, nadmorska promenada jest całkowicie wyłączona z ruchu kołowego. Można odpocząć tu w cieniu parasoli i palm, delektując się widokiem na morze i odległe wyspy, zaś w pobliskich kawiarniach lub restauracjach wypić aromatyczną kawę lub zjeść pyszne lody.

There is a new ice cream shop in town.....and it is delicious! Lody is the Polish word for ice cream.....and believe me when I tell you that Ice Cream is serious business here. Everyone, and I mean everyone, love ice cream. This place opened up last week and people are lining up to get a taste! I am having chocolate, but I also returned to taste all of the other flavors too........ :)
