Dramatic scenery at TA1, the teams came on foot from behind the moiuntains on the right - it took them 10 hours on average and that was just 1/10th of the total sidtance of the race.

Lode Mill is pictured from a short way along the river walk. It is bathed in sunlight, while people on the walk are in the shade. The water is mirror smooth.
The current mill is thought to date back to the 18th Century. However, a mill is thought to have stood on this site for about 1000 years being referred to in the Domesday survey of 1086.
