Barely a breath of wind and the very slow meandering river Cam.

Lode Mill is pictured from a short way along the river walk. It is bathed in sunlight, while people on the walk are in the shade. The water is mirror smooth.

The current mill is thought to date back to the 18th Century. However, a mill is thought to have stood on this site for about 1000 years being referred to in the Domesday survey of 1086.
