Originally I had planned on going out before sunrise for some night shots of the overnight snow. Ended up working late and grabbed this quick shot in our locker room.
A locker room at Firbeck Hall. The site was devided into two parts, the original hall which seemed to have been used mostly as accomadation and then a more modern building that had a swiming pool and gym area..
I was early for the workout. Nobody was there, and looking at the bright and naked white walls, the anonymous easy to wash floor, and the thin little benches I thought 'Man, it would be a real challenge to take a decent picture in this place'.
On a side, technical, note: took with my panasonic fs3 which I inadvertently dropped, open, on the asphalt while fiddling with my gloves. Now it still works fine, except for some minor vignetting when shooting upward. Tough little machine.
This is the 'Individual' locker room pic for the HS T&I shoot. It went along with the backlit team pic with the long shadows.
Strobist info: 580EX shoot through umbrella camera left, reflector camera right, and snooted 580EX for backlight. triggered via canon ST-E2 iirc.

Only time for a quick camera phone grab shot at work today. I thought the original blue colour was a bit dull, so I gave the hue a tweak to this vibrant acid green
One for this week's challenge of saturated
The colours all over the school were so vivid. It was bizarre how untouched this place was. I think it had been abandoned for a few years but there was no graffiti or anything. Lots of broken glass but other than that it was like time had stood still

At lunch my colleagues and went to the indoor soccer field to walk around
the track. When I went into the locker room I was struck by how stark it
looked. It's not an inspired photo, but I tried to work on how I cropped it
and tweaked the exposure and colour saturation.

I had mde this al week. It was so hard. If you notice the words I got them out of 2 magazines (1 magazine had the same title but different issues) can you guess what they are
Ah, the days of combinations that don't work, locker doors that stick, cramming everything into that little space. Good times.
