An Autumnal scene at Loch Ard. A little cloudy and colourless in the sky but the lovely tones in the trees and bushes and that soft focus reflection makes it worth while.
The Title of this image should really “That damn boat house again” because it’s a subject shot so many times by photographers that it’s becoming a local landmark. The shot is so popular with toggers that the owners of the little fenced off plot of land with the jetty have basically given up trying to stop them climbing in to grab a shot. Not that I’m encouraging anyone to flaunt the privacy laws to get photographs. I stood back and used a longer lens to get this shot so I was on the legal side of the fence. ;-)

One from the archives .. the original untextured version of the one shown below.
Today’s image is a result of another scouting expedition. In this case I was looking for a good location for some misty morning shots and nice autumn foliage colours. The location I’m showing you today is a section of water along the River Forth which I’ve photographed many times but mainly out at the Firth estuary. This is much further up river and is near to the beautiful location of Loch Ard.
My trip was a little early in the season to be catching the best of the colours, which should be turning further over the next week or so, and the skies were a little overcast preventing the best of the tones being exposed. So I’ll be keeping an eye on the forecast and heading back when the trees are ready to show their best dress.
Nothing Special about this shot!
Just an old one I grabbed whilst shooting at Loch Ard. I've always liked the colours but I was put off by the lack of detail in the sky.
The feature in the middle is a little jetty when would have been better with a a figure or two but you just can't will a subject to appear in the right spot when you need them.
I realized that I do not have many portrait orientation photos. This is a rare one, from my archive.
Have a great weekend!

Another silly o' clock photoshoot with Mouldy.
