Looking superb in it's new coat of BR green 60163 "Tornado" powers round the curves at Kettlesbeck Bridge during it's loaded test run on March 26th 2025.
After it's stop over at Hellifield 60163 "Tornado" passes through Hellifield Green and continues the loaded test run back to Carnforth on March 26th 2025.
GWR King 6024 "King Edward 1" races south through Lea Marston on it's loaded test run from Derby on February 1st 1990.

After having work done in the shop, Union Pacific GP20 No. 489 is undergoing tests via a 'Load Box' in Salt Lake City, Utah on Jan. 28. 1978. This device is designed put an electrical load on the engine in an attempt to 'break it down' and discover defects prior to placing the locomotive back in service. From EMD's production SD40-2 to the present, locomotives have been equipped with a self-load feature, eliminating the need for an external test. Thank you to Warren Johnson for the information.

Steam cranes continued to be used by BR long after steam locos had been withdrawn, and the last one was reported to be in use as late as 1989...
The roundhouse has survived, and is today (2018) in use as a conference venue, for Derby College..

The second day of load tests for four class 92 locomotives, class 92 No,92019 'Wagner' (with 92027, 92025 and 92011 dead behind) passes DRS Kingmoor TMD in heavy rain on 10th July 2012, the 4Z62 Carlisle Yard to Warrington Old Walton Yard load test, including a raft of 'HTA' empty coal wagons.

9S91 slogs it up the 1 in 40 grade past Brooks Reserve on a load test with DC6029, 44208 and 4403 heading back to Canberra from Bungendore.
The "Grande Lagos" (IMO 9672088) at the AET Terminal at the port of Antwerp.
During its stay in port, a load test on one of the cranes was performed by filling a large bag with water. The bag can hold 50 tons.
